That's my exact thought process! I'd rather pay it off early, than put myself in to a possible future bind

I checked with my dealer and after running my credit he said he can match my bank's 1.99. I hope there is no drama on the day of pick up.

That's because they need to move the cars. Usually hard to find cars do not qualify for special finance rates through the auto manufacturers.

My dealership said:

"Subaru/Chase will be offering a standard rate of 3.25% based on good credit..."

I'll be going with my local bank, where I can get 2.75%.

PenFed = 1.99 for 5 years I'm trying to get my CU to match that.

My dealer said he has no clue on the finance rate for the BRZ since it's not released yet. I'm hoping for a 1.9% rate for 48 months through the dealership but the place can't guarantee it until Subaru gives them more information. If I can't get those rates then I have to cancel the whole deal with them. :/

Any knows the release date on this car so I can expect when to get an answer on my finance rates?

I was told the would be no special rates for the BRZ from my dealer. I can get 1.99% for 60 months from my CU, so that's the plan.

The only problem is the 1.99% special runs out in June, and I have yet to hear one bit of information as to when these cars are supposed to show up...

I was really hoping for 1.99, unfortunately I can't go to Subaru to fill out a credit application till I find out my salary info for my new job. How exactly does a credit union work? Do I just go into a CU or should I already have an account there?
