2nd question:

Say if I already had the JRSC CARB kit (and everything else on the car was stock), and I really wanted to use an uncatted EL header. Exactly how can I do so and what are my options?

Is the only way to make it work, and the only option, and is necessary, is to get a new tune?

You would need to get a new tune. It wont run right on the CARB tune.

Option 2 would sound better, option 1 would give more power.

Last question ( @Jackson Racing ):

Are there upcoming mild/medium upgrades (ie: no need for an engine rebuild) coming to the JRSC kit?

If so, what's coming? ...pulleys, diff tunes, diff parts/electronics, injectors/pumps, etc?

What's the current pulley's boost? 6-7psi correct?

If you guys are releasing a new pulley, what's the new pulley's psi and also what's the max psi the stock engine can safely handle with stock internals with a good safe tune? 10-14psi?

.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself. You've posted a lot in here, asked a ton of questions and should have all that information. I understand being so excited and it being on your mind 24/7, but its time you now go out and buy the JRSC kit and then go from there.

There is a higher boost pulley already, but it has issues unless you are running 93+ or e85 so they don't advertise it. Contact CSG for details on it.

No. The stock cat back sounds like ASS when you increase the power of the motor (AKA JRSC) and have no cats. The stock muffler is not designed to work with the extra sound amplitude. CSG has tested this extensively and is in the process of looking for a cat back that doesn't sound like ass.

I'm almost tempted to borrow a Tomei for when I come up to Norcal 86CUP... except I'd go deaf on the trip up.

Maybe someone here would be willing to lend you his Tomei, since he's using his stock catback for now :p *coughjeffcough*

1. DT FlexFuel Hardware Kit + Flash&Go Tune w/ FlexFuel Upgrade

or

2. An uncatted EL header + a Tune (so that the header can work; since I assume it wont with the CARB tune)

If I would guess, option 1, would be the better choice, correct? Since with e85, it would be around a 70whp gain (on mustang).

And, option 2, I think would probably only net 10-20whp from a header. Nowhere as close to the e85 gains.
Forget the header. It will void your CARB certification and there's a good chance it won't even give you 10 more hp.

Buy the Jackson CARB kit and enjoy it for a few months. If it gets old, then go for flex fuel.

Stock header for smog days obviously. Not hard at all to swap out.

"No" ...I wasn't even asking a question. Your comment and opinion is purely subjective. But, sounds like you're jus trying to talk sht anyways.

I think overly bassy exhausts sound like "ass." Like they're trying too hard to sound cool.

Diff strokes.
