mikegt86 Thats great

I'm glad to see someone else from this forum coming out to play that day. Look forward to meeting everyone. The more frs/brz's the better. We have lots of representation in this area if we can get some of them organized.

I have never done anything like this, but would love to attend something like this. Can a seasoned vet tell me some pros and cons? I can see the pluses being the diversity of the people and the comradery. The cons being some ass hats driving like it is a racetrack and giving the BRZ/FRS drivers a bad name.

Exactly my wife's fear as well! We are planning to go, but looks like she has to work that weekend.

Bandit, The event is based around driving, we do everything we can to attract a mature and responsible crowd and honestly aside from the first year we have been successful with this. There has always been some sort of confusion with how you should of should not behave on the Dragon with a minor crowd of individuals, but most of that confusion comes from lack of will to want to comply and those individuals are quickly weeded out.

There are drivers in any car community that give their respectable cars a bad name, and I am sure this is already true for the FRS/BRZ community as well in certain areas or events.

We will have a drivers meeting this year which will outline all the rules/safety issues and dangers of driving the Dragon and the surrounding roads. I hope this answers your concern. If you would like to speak one on one. You can contact me directly at annualboxertakeover.com

Auror we have had very little FRS/BRZ show up in the past. Mainly the first two years was because they were not very widely available in the U.S. Now that there is a larger amount we definitely would like to see more come out. After all they have a boxer power plant. So yes we welcome FRS's and BRZ's, the raffle will apply to all Subaru power plants.

Example: if a sponsor has a brake package to raffle off and you win. They would send you your brake package in the mail for your specific make and model.

We don't discriminate anyone coming out in other cars, it is a drivers event, but please don't see disappointed if you don't see raffle items for non-Subaru power plants.

Ill be there with my FRS and my wife. Honestly there's nothing to be concerned about, its just a day with like minded people who enjoy driving the twisties. I recently purchased the FRS, and prior to this car my hobby car was a Mazda MX-5 (Miata). The only thing I miss about that platform is their car community itself. Killboy can testify to the gathering of Miata's at the Gap every year. Of course there are tons of those guys around compared to the small # of us. But every great event has to begin somewhere and this is as good as any. It's also a great time of the year to be driving the Dragon, not to hot or crowded. Get registered guys, what's not to like?????

Sponsor post updated!

Tomorrow starts our sponsor week long deals (I am sure some of them will honor it after the week is over as well, but I cannot guarantee that). What this is, is basically an opportunity for you to get some sweet deals for the Dragon. Starting tomorrow, Daily Driven Power will be selling a few packages for suspension goodies and brakes goodies. Keep an eye out for further deals via website and Facebook.

Few other deadlines to keep in mind.

March 8th - last day to get your discounted rates at Fontana.
March 20th - last day to pre pay for the dinner if you choose to come to that as well as t-shirt pre orders. We will have a limited amount on hand at the event, but to guarantee one, order up now via the website. Also, if you cant make it to the event for some reason, we will have it shipped to you afterwards.
April 15th - last day to buy raffle tickets online, they will be available on-site for purchase.

THANK YOU ALL! and I hope to meet you all soon.

We are trying to possibly get QED Tuning to bring out their AWD dyno to the event. If you are interested in this.

We need a minimum of 10 pre-paid customers to make this happen. (we have 4 so far)

Price: $60.00 collected in advanced, you would get 3 pulls on the Dyno the day of the event.

If you are serious, please e-mail us directly at annualboxertakeover@gmail.com. Once we have enough individuals interested we will set up a payment via annualboxertakeover.com
