I've been on both sides in regards to disputing for a product or service purchased and not getting what was paid for. I don't understand why some people find it necessary to be a complete a**hole and start a scene. Life is so much easier if you act reasonably.

I've always loved this quote:

"Old ass people talk shit about my generation until they accidentally disable their wifi and cant figure out how to turn it back on. Then I'm suddenly the mastermind of information & resources."

Don't fool yourself as every generation had the same thing said about them! Just the details change a bit.

“Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.”

Nah they needed the young guys to help them with that new fangled papyrus stuff!

And in my youth it was helping the old folks figure out their VCRs and tv remotes!

Wifi is just the latest and greatest. (and now that I think of it I must still be the "young guy" since my mother in law calls at least once a week to fix her wifi)

Interesting to hear you say that, since I also helped my parents figure out VCR and tv remotes. And if I recall correctly you fall into the "Old Fogey" category according to people my age (not me of course)... Are you sure you aren't talking about helping them with electric slide projectors?

So i just had a customer argue with me on the phone about how his 2003 honda accord with a 3.0L has no cats and it came that way and his car doesnt require cats to run legally. He then went on to tell me that he replaced his MAF which is "on his exhaust pipe near the end" and he passed smog with it some how. He then told me that he was looking to add cats to "quiet down his raspy exhaust".... what is the world coming to...
Got to love ricers who have no understanding or common sense...and then like to tell me about my job and how i dont know what i am talking about..

P.S i work in a auto parts store

It takes a special kind of patience to work at an auto parts store...those that come in with pseudo knowledge and talk smack just make me want to strangle them.

I hear you on that. We can trade off tech support and mech support stories to keep things interesting.

Had a client bring me her laptop because it was overheating. I cracked it open to clean it out and found a folded piece of paper stuck in the fan. Let her know that the fan had a blockage so it wasn't supplying any cooling. She replied with, "I jammed it in there because it was loud. Can't you just make it cooler without the loud fan?"
Sure, you got a grand to spend on custom cooling to make that happen?

EDIT: an old co worker who was just recently let go for being a complete moron(thats besides the point) told me he got a new job at tacobell of all places, this caused some laughing among us, then in a very pissed off manor he proceeded to tell us that "hey stop laughing, we serve 100% all natural beef"....he abruptly stormed out as well all fell over pissing ourselves from laughter

HAHAHA. Common sense not so common these days. Had a customer come in and ask me if i could check if her wiper blades were making correct contact with her windshield...

Customer just came in as i was writing this and asked me if he could use a ftlb torque wrench on his carburetor.. #readthemanual or pay the price of a few hundred dollars every time you make this mistake.. which im sure will happen again because #commonsense not so common.
