I haven't read through this mess of posts here, but I'll add a couple comments from my own experience. I've been running this kit on my BRZ and one of my techs has it on his FR-S. We have both added radiators and oil coolers as well as heat wrapped headers/UP/DP and added turbo blankets. I've been running mine on E85 primarily at 12psi and he has been on 91 at around 10psi. We have collectively done 3 track days at Thunder Hill and Laguna Seca and have not had any issues with melting anything and temps have stayed under control. I have also put my car through a lot of abuse on the dyno as well as on the backroads and all is well.

I will say I'm still learning this car and refining the suspension and tire setup, so my track pace is not all out yet, but I'm not going light on the car either . I was consistently hitting almost 130mph on the front straight at thunder hill, which is a very respectable speed. Next time out will be much better. Also, to be fair, we have only tracked in cooler weather so far, so we will have to see how temps hold up in the hotter months. But hey... that's always an issue to keep an eye on when tracking a turbo car. My 06 STI would start heating up quickly after about 3 hot laps at Thunder Hill until I took care of some additional cooling mods. 99% of people buying these kits will not be pushing them this hard, and if they are, they will certainly be working on cooling as well.

Here is a dyno chart of my car: This shows stock baseline, my car on 91 Octane at 10psi, and E85 at 12psi:

Ed,

Is this on stock internals? Which fuel injectors and pump are you running? I am interested because I ordered my kit last week and I am currently on ECUTEK Flex Fuel. I got the MOTIV over pipe and a Greddy full exhaust. I am just curious as a point of reference for my setup.

Cheers,

-Nate

Awesome! This gives me a great idea of where I will be sitting with my setup. All things are equal with the exception of my 550cc injectors.

BTW, Those fuel pumps are amazing in the GT-R so I feel very confident that they are perfect for the BRZ.

As I have done my homework this kit offers the best bang for the buc that I could find.

Those vendors are either mistaken, misleading, or both. I checked Greddy's site and there is no indication that their kit is CARB approved. I don't think there is a single turbo kit that is CARB approved. The WORKS stage 1 has been submitted but that is the only kit I know of that is going through the process

On Trust/Greddy website they releases a T620z kit with more power and there's a catted header version of the kit for emissions purposes. It's $400 more than the non-catted version of the kit.
