Seriously count me in when you decide to play on the ft86. I'm so down to try this out.

Absolutely. I intend to release it for both MX5 and GT86 applications at the same time. They are in production now

Have you tested in house yet on the ft86? I'm loving the discussion on the Mazda boards. It's so bad ass to see how far this has come in a little over a year.

Not yet. No sense in doing that until our first production run is done. But once it's ready, I'll do some testing on my car. Or your car perhaps since you have an ESC on it

Has anyone tracked their car with the ESC? Anything I should worry about?

Also I assume flat foot shifting using the OFT would be out of the question since the activation switch would stay on correct?

I've used FFS with the ESC with no issues. It works great from what I recall

I think both ThaTruth and nlowell have with earlier kits. Their impressions are in the main Phantom thread.

FFS is enabled by default with the Openflash ESC tune. Its pretty fun. I typically use it shifting from 2nd to 3rd @WOT. To use it just hold down the gas pedal above 6500 RPM, push the clutch in and shift. The tune will blip the throttle while you're btwn gears. @Shiv@Openflash can fully explain the feature.

Can you help me understand FFS better? I am on the off the shelf ESC 91 OFT tune so it should have enabled. When flooring it do I just literally keep my right foot fully depressed, press in the cluth with my left while keeping the right fully depressed, change gears and drop the cluth (or do i need to easy into it)?

Also a side question, if I am in neutral and I go WOT is it bad for the system? Only for bursts of course.

1. Yes, FFS should be enabled in your tune. You have it right, keep your right foot fully depressed, clutch in, change gears, clutch out (you don't need to ease the clutch out). I recommend learning on the 2-3 upshift, so find a place where you can go fast safely.

2. Don't go WOT in neutral. It's bad for the car as a whole.

Sounds fun . Yeah I won't be WOT-ing in neutral, just trying to understand the effects of compressing air into the engine when it's not supposed to receive it.

So I tried FFS today and I'm pretty sure it is not enabled. The RPM meter jumped and engine revved like crazy as I was shifting. I opened up the ESC 91 oct A00c.bin (OFT v2.01 OTS ESC 1.5dump+OFT USDM only) file in RomRaider to take a look and in Alpha - BRZ - FFS/LC the Flat-Foot Shift RPM Delta is 0 so I assume it is disabled.

Gonna edit the file, reflash and try tomorrow. What is the ideal range for the RPM delta for FFS?

Should be enabled by default. Paging @Shiv@Openflash
