I'm with you 100%.

I prefer to think of my car as visually inspired by the 1967-'70 2000gt with a little nod to the 1965-'69 Sports 800 for it's use of the boxer engine.

The only cars from the 1980's that I ever liked had Lancia badges on them.

Oh come on man the 80s were the golden age of automobiles where they were all instant classics!

HEY! Back in the 90s I had this very car right down to the colour! I was dirt poor broke and got it for $500. It was rotted out so bad it was ridicules (don't ask how I got it safety checked).
Finally retired it when one of the back door skins flew off on the highway.
God 80s cars sucked!!!!

Again! Wife had one only in blue (and technically it was a 70s since was a 79).
Rear springs and struts both broke so I jacked it up and shoved a 4x4 in to hold the body up. Lasted a few months like that.
God we were poor!

Voted one of the top 50 worst cars of all time. I owned a Cavalier and a Sunbird and so begs the question does poverty lead to poor choices or do poor choices lead to poverty? Circumstance points toward the former. Hope the FR-S doesn't tend toward the latter. For some on this forum I'm sure it does.

In my case it was poverty leading to no choice! It was a $200 Pacer or nothing at that point so the Pacer was a dream machine! My wife and I drove some serious crap for a while back then because it was all we could get.

I was a university kid back in the 90s. dirt poor. needed a car. Brother found me a 1982 cutlass supreme that used to be a taxi. Paid $800 in 92 and that car lasted me till 2000. treeplanting adventures and all. Solid car. When I needed tires I went to the back of walmart outside and looked through their scraps for the free "good ones", haha. Some of the best times were back then
