Floating
Ok. Not sure this should be here or in wheels/tires.
Got ran into a curb last monday, in a construction zone. Blew put my front left. Pick up nails in front right and back right tires. Had all 4 replaced, went from factory tires to Firestone Firehawk wide oval AS. I have no other car and had to be at work the next day so that was all I could get, sorry PSS fans. Also had the shop align my car. Well now the car is floating from 50 mph and up, and when I shift from 2nd to 3rd it feels like the back end wants to come out on me. almost feels like the back tires are trying to steer when I go through turns too. Someone help before I die.

Stop driving it till you figure it out, if you are worried you might die.
tire pressures need to be checked, low pressure on one rear will cause it to want to rotate that direction on throttle alignment needs to be checked, jacked up thrust alignment could cause it to want to rotate Also, the mold release layer needs to be worn off the tires before they feel "normal" suspension mounting points, arms, and bushings all need to be checked. You probably bent something in the impact and then got a shit alignment and so so tires to top it off.

FML. The dying part is me being melodramatic. Tires are 34 up front 36 in back thrust was 0.22. Nothing was bent according to the shop.
Wtf is a mold release layer?

Melted rubber tends to stick to everything, including the molds that give the tire tread its shape. To prevent this, tire manufacturers put mold release on the mold so that they have a properly molded tire and a mold that they can use again. This mold release is slippery, and stays on the outside of the tire tread until it is worn off. It usually takes a few hundred miles before this initial slippery layer is gone and the tires work as they were designed.

Get some good heat into the tires should help also. I've seen street bikes guys do burn outs right out of the shop after getting new tires for similar reasons. Tires often have a film on them, be it for mold release or improving shelf life.

That's why I tell the aligner how I want it aligned, 'cause if I just let them do it, it would end up as bad as yours. Your right rear is done correctly. The left rear should have .05 toe, instead of .17, more than 3 times too much. The fronts should have 0.0 toe, but they're only at .02, so they aren't as bad as the left rear. The Caster and Camber are off balance, left to right. Your car is going to wander and follow grooves until the alignment is fixed. Take it back and make them do it right.

The alignmet looks fairly close to stock to me. Stock front camber is usually close to 0*. It MAY be the unequal rear toe or that may even up when you sit in the car. I would suggest unless they didn't tighten up some bolts and the alignment moved that the feeling is caused by your new tires not the alignment. Let the mould release wear off, check the pressures and it will probably get better. It may just be a shitty model of tire too, that can affect the feel a lot.
