Depending on how long you're willing to wait, and willing to try something else, there's supposed to be a few new tires for this year. BFG is supposed to have a new compound for the Rivals. Bridgestone is releasing a replacement for the RE11a, the RE71R.

we got plenty in japan. because of "japanese pride" alot of people shy away from korean stuff. although the porsche crowd swears by the vents td here. im loving my rs3 v2s. they are definitely an amazing tire.

Hankook's production capacity for their RS3 line sucks. They did the same thing last generation where there were intervals, especially before AutoX season, where there were long back order times. Looks like it will be no different with the v2 as tire rack is showing availability of 4/30.

Given SCCA's impending tread wear rule changes causing many participants to need new tires before the season, Hankook is going to push a lot of customers into competitive tires. Seems like a shytty business model since they had to know the demand was going to be there.

I just read a huge shipment of Hankooks is held up due to the port issue going on right now.

BTW, anyone heard anything about the GT Radial Champiro SX2??? Apparently they have a contingency.

Yes. Port of la/longbeach has 20 ships waiting as of today. There has been self-inflicted congestion by the union and port authority for the past two months. They add "congestion fee's" and are always asking for more money. Many of those union workers make 6 figures. This will only drive prices up for importers, which will drive prices up for us.

Port is shut down. Get some other tires before they run out of stock.

For anyone looking for a new set of RS3's version 2 I have a square setup 275/35/18 with less than 300 miles on them.
