"Put the Car in P and sat for a half hour in the right lane next to a parking spot. These cars have automatic parking assist, right? Do I need to take it into the dealer to get checked?"

Sweet jesus that's the funniest thing I've read on the internet in years. I immediately texted my buddy who was a philosophy major and also a car nut.

Uhm... Hi.
I've been lurking in this thread for a while now, not sure what to make of it.
I have a lot of sympathy for Squady, he feels like... I don't know... a troubled younger brother, or even me without a balanced medication combo.

I like many of the questions posted here, but this one:

And the GT86 OEM fog lights are even less functional than on other modern cars. Plus, the high beams are just meh.

Anyway, I've been toying around with the idea of getting some high-power super-lights that will magically fit in the fog light mounts, and wire them to the high beam! Light up that road! Yeah!

So, in the spirit of our (hopefully only temporarily) absent friend SquadRouge:
Is there like a DIY for replacing the silly fog lights with extra high beams? I can't be assed to search for it myself.

You know what Sar? I think you are the Jiminy Cricket of the forum sometimes!
Although I agree that it isn't fair to Squad that this thread ended up dedicated to him (there are many that start threads with as bad or even worse topics) he was cautioned by many to think carefully before posting and his track record speaks for it's self. I prefer to think of it as more of a lampoon of all the silly questions asked and not just a slam at any one person.

Now for your fog light question - I doubt there is anything (I have never seen it and I read far more threads then I post on believe it or not) since high beams and fog lights can be a big focus for the police over here. I don't think anybody would get away with using them very long even if they did do the conversion.
Who knows there may be somebody out there that has though.

You know what Tco? That just might be my mission here.

I have a confession to make. I did search and came up empty.

It's not a big focus here. People get pulled over for having illegal lights occasionally, and then they have to show up at the DMV and show the car has been fixed, and that's the end of it. Doesn't happen often, and I see a lot of creative lights out there.
So I just might do it. And post that DIY myself. Maybe with a nifty relay so that the new lights are turned on when the front fog light AND the high beam are switched on at the same time. Like a 2-stage high beam. Might even be borderline legal here.

Oh, and keep the thread going, by all means. I hope and believe good old Squady will enjoy it if he sees it.

Oh, but I can fix y'alls cricket problem. It's a three stage DIY:
1. Move to Europe.
2. Pump 98 or 100 RON petrol.
3. Enjoy life.
