Image storage location shouldn't matter much, if at all. As long as you can browse to it.

Well, I'm dumb. I thought there was some sort of special process with this "CarDroid" version of Android. I got it all set now.

This isn't CarDroid or whatever Google's specialized automotive version is called. This is straight-up Android, with a few tweaks (of assorted levels of sensibility) by Innotrends/Ca-Fi.

I know it's not Android Auto (and I really hope Google will let us install that on this unit...), I just thought this highly customized version didn't work quite like real Android when it came to stuff like that. Pretty sure I saw it referenced as CarDroid somewhere... but anyway, thanks. I guess I was tired of sitting in my car for hours yesterday and didn't try hard enough.

So I took my car back to the installer and he fix the power antenna lead and amp lead. My door speakers are working. However, now I have like a buzzing/static on my back passenger side speaker only. Its volume dosent change with the radio volume either it stays the same if its all the way up.or all the way down.

I took it back to the installer and he checked his wiring and said it was all good. Then said most aftermarket units produce some feedback and I.could buy a "silencer" which might fix it.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if this solution sounds right? Cause I have never heard of a silencer nor have I ever had noticeable feedback on any aftermarket unit I have ever used.

They sell ground loop eliminators which would remove the buzz if you had an rca cable between the head unit and an amplifier. Those can take a little out of the high range of the sound spectrum though. It also may be some defect in the unit itself or just a poor installation job.

Maybe try a USB mic? Anyone give that a shot yet?

Yea, half the time no one can hear me when I'm on the phone. I'm thinking about getting a bluetooth mic and routing it to where the OEM mic is. I believe there is DIY on this forum for this.

What about adding a mic adapter to the HU (opening it, doing a little soldering)? Someone said you can request it with your order?
