Don't let these guys scare you. Get a clutch and a boost/afr gauge and make sure that you datalog your car with EcuTek to make sure the tune is working properly and you will be good to go. I would never touch a perfectly working engine. Set aside money should something go wrong.

Gotta cut down that torque!

With great hp comes great responsibility. Have you push that stock 200hp to its limit? Do you really need more?

This is excellent advice. I've been told to build internals but I don't want to mess with a proper working engine. E85 is around my area....by around I mean a 15 min drive to the nearest station...so if that's required then ok...I want to buy the kit....have it professionally installed and tuned and yes drive it daily w.o issue. I drive like a retard with the stock 200 hp engine and it's no where near enough. I can live with 350 hp to the wheels but want to push every "safe" ounce of hp I can get.

What about ptuning meth Kit? I need to research it more but is it a pain in the ass? Worth the hassel? I'm not going to track the car....at least not for now. I just want to have a car with something other than just a turbo kit slapped on it under the bonnet. Being able to push a bit more than the guy who bought his kit and did nothing else...etc.

Thanks for the advice...I'll post build pics soon as I'll be ordering the kit at the end of the month.

If you're paying someone else to do everything you're going to end up with a 45,000$ car real quick. C7 vettes don't cost much more than that used.

I'm not hating but this thread doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. The FA20 is a perfectly good, working engine. By virtue of adding FORCED induction, you are introducing complexity to the engine that it wasn't intended to handle.

Why? If you're asking people on this forum for a list of parts to buy, that makes you the same as the guy you're trying to "one-up" except you have deeper pockets.

Back on topic, I'm not an expert but you will at least want an oil cooler, radiator, and clutch, to handle the power. Not to mention the brakes that you will 100% need to upgrade in order to stop the car and wider wheels / stickier tires to keep your car on the road. On top of the base cost for just the turbo kit ($6k) you will need the accompanying tune and the rest of what I listed above (IMO). It's your money it's up to you what you want to do with it but you're looking at a huge investment to reach your magic number. Hope this was helpful (sorry if I sounded like a ****) and looking forward to your build thread.

Running a tune that requires meth or is setup to use the advantages of meth which is running more timing is going to be a huge risk should anything go wrong with your meth system. Sure there are failsafes that can be installed, but they won't catch everything that can happen. If you just want a better look under the bonnet, then start removing things and have them painted/powdercoated and go for a nice wire tuck.

I ran water/meth mixture in my last car.

Not worth the hassle. Not worth the hassle.
(Said it twice so you know I meant it.)
