That's why we have a Camry. If I ever mention a sporty car and someone tell me that it's not family friendly, I say "Yeah, that's why I bought this. Now I'm buying one for me."

Yep what everyone says is true most women are ok with having the family car since having the kids was prolly their idea lol so they will drive the family car whatever you choose in my case my wife has the suv for the 2 kids and i get my FR-S and get this it wa HER idea for me to get it lol she said i deserve another sports car since i had to get rid of my mr2 when we got married. So just goes to show you can have your cake and eat it to and im only 24 lol

MomHawk and I have always had one "family car" and one "not so family" car. From 1989 to April of this year the "family car" was a Chevy Astro (first an '89 then a '01).

We've owned an MR2, a Ford Mustang, Saturn SC, Lumina LTZ (ok sorta a family car) and now the FR-S as the second car, amongst some others.

It worked well for us. Now we get to both drive what we want, even better!

That's great news!

I'll only be using the rear facing seat when I pick our kid up after work, so there'll be no passenger anyway.

We have two cars in my family.. One is usually a minivan or SUV that is made for hauling kids and stuff comfortably..

The other is the fun car that both my wife and I enjoy driving when we are not hauling the kids.. The BRZ/FR-S are more than adequate for this.. Once the kids are teenagers, it will become more challenging if they want to sit in the back

I thought people just drove around with their kids on their lap while they talked on their cell phones. Is that not cool anymore?

The BRZ in town was abandoned by the person who ordered it because he could not fit his car seat in it.

Yeah, I noticed you were in Oregon. Are you taking your car to PIR at all when you get it for a track day?
