Anyone in CA, TX, or southwest with a vin assigned??? - Page 6 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

So I got tired of waiting to hear anything so I called just now and got my VIN, and estimated arrival date of June 5. First at North Park Subaru of San Antonio.

So, I just called SOA again and I thought I'd let you guys know what I found out. If this happens to be a repost sorry. I still don't have a VIN, but the guy I talked to went to the trouble of telling me when the ships containing BRZs were hitting port—and how many. It sounds like the next shipments are going to be a bit larger. He said some of these were coming into the Davis CA port and I think one was in Washington. I'm in California so that's what I was asking him about.

On 5/23 a ship hitting port (I think in Davis CA is what he said) carrying 125 BRZs
On 5/28 (I think this is the Washington one) carrying 93 BRZs
On 5/30 (I think this is Davis again) carrying 59 BRZs

I hope this helps. I figure this at least gives us a timeline of when to call back.

Is the one in Davis considered to be the point of origin for cars headed to Texas?

I'm not sure. He was saying that was the port for California, but I don't know if they ship them to Texas from there. He seemed less sure about the actual ports, but the number of BRZs and the dates he seemed very sure about.

Just out of curiosity, which dealer did you order from? I ordered through Santa Monica and they still didn't have any info when I talked to the guy last week. He said there were no VIN for any of the BRZ yet. They are getting 15.

I didn't talk to my dealer (Sherman Oaks—they have 7 coming). They've been really bad about getting back to me about anything. I called SOA direct. This is the second time I've called them, and the first guy didn't have much info (last friday) but the guy today gave me this info.

Did you ask if you can get the ship names so you can track them yourself? I didn't ask my dealer but he volunteered the information so was like... yeah!

Crazy that they don't have any direct info. I'm not in a rush to get the car but it would be nice to know that at least some of the orders were being delivered to our dealers.

I'm at work, so I was in a bit of a rush to get off the phone, but one of the ships is named aquarius. I think that was the one coming in on 5/28.

Just called and no info on mine yet. Hopefully not too much longer after yours.
