Since so many of us are trying to get rid of that Scion logo on the steering wheel, and purchasing an entirely new unit from Japan isn't very cost effective, I wonder if some aftermarket company can fabricate a Toyota emblem to fit where the Scion one is on our existing steering wheels.

I don't have my car yet to actually check this out, but it looks like a recessed oval with the chrome logo sitting in it. If that's the case, is there any reason that couldn't be done?

Out of curiosity, is the fabric used on the seats listed as a part number? I ask because I'm curious if it's possible to order the leather & alcantara seat material from the Japanese GT-Limited trim as a seat cover.

I believe there were hi-spec seat covers listed, black and red only. I'll take a look Monday unless Jeff beats me to it.

Thank you! I got all excited because I saw that they had seat covers in the accessories section, then busted out my Japanese dictionary and saw that they were only leatherette and plain fabric, not the real leather and Alcantara that's on the GT-Limited seats.

So after taking a look at all the seat cover part numbers, it's a bit confusing... And since there are so many variations offered with limited descriptions, I can't be sure exactly what I am looking at...

@Jeff Lange, any idea what all the the different option codes and trim #s mean?

I've been trying to put together a list of what they mean, but Subaru's option codes aren't all that familiar to me, and they seem to be mostly unique between different cars.

Of the ones I've seen for the Zx6 in USA/Canada:

NT = Scion FR-S
NJ = Subaru BRZ Premium / Premier
NG = Subaru BRZ Limited / Sport-Tech

There are many other option codes though, and like NG is also listed in the Toyota/Scion catalog as well. There are 3 grades in the Toyota 86/Scion FR-S catalog we have in North America: BASE (Low Spec 86), HI (High Spec 86), and STD (Scion FR-S). Within those grades appear to be option codes (More used for parts listings on the 86's base and hi grades).

These are the codes listed in the Toyota 86/Scion FR-S catalog:

AV
AW
DV
DW
EV
EW
HV
HW
JV
JW
MV
MW
NC
NG
NT
NV
NW
NZ
XV
XW

I'll see what I can find about those.

Jeff
