Wetsanded the Trim, then applied a coat of Adhesion Promoter, followed by 3 coats of Valspar Satin Black Spray paint. Yesterday while shoveling my car I managed to scrape it slightly and left a scuff but rubbing it made it go away. So as of right now there hasn't been any damage to it at all, actually holding up quite well.

if youre looking for one solid color, gloss finish, and interior plastic, just vinyl wrap it.

I sprayed mine with Krylon matte black and it matches the matte black around the instrument cluster perfectly. As others have said, prep work is key. You don't have to do a ton of sanding. You just want to use like 400 grit and rough up the surface so the paint sticks well. Use many light coats and let t dry completely in between. Gloss typically takes longer to dry than matte. I have had 0 issues with scratches or chipping and it's been about a year.
Nice thing is if you get a chip, just sand it smooth, repaint and fixed. Super easy. |

I had my interior pieces hydrodipped and I really like it. No chips or cracks in the pieces almost a year later.
I did not want a solid color and unless I told you they were dipped you would probably never know the difference just by looking at them. |

I took my parts to a body shop and had them color match it to the color of my car.

Also the only annoying thing about it is now I have to wax my interior.

I just feel like high gloss interior trim would show every fingerprint, smudge ect as well as potentially reflecting sunlight right in your face

It would but how often are you touching that stuff? The only thing I really touch is the door handle to close the door and even then I'm mostly grabbing the back side that isn't painted. The sun hasn't been an issue. I think that comes when people fiberglass their interior and paint everything.
