Where are my carpet floor mats?

I've been going back and forth with Autonation Weston about why I didn't get my floor mats (not a big deal but still...)

It is a standard feature. But like crook sales people they are trying to tell me SOUTH EAST TOYOTA it is an 'added accessory' and I was to pay for them.

It says it on the bottom of the MSRP sticker!!! but he keeps saying he doesn't see it and it should be 'added options'

oh like the 3 cheap iphone charging cable package they tried to charge $50 for lmao!!

I even sent him the sticker and standard interior that they come with it.
That means someone took the time to take them out of the car, and who knows where they are.

Funny thing is when I was buying my car, I heard another sales person tell a customer checking out with new car -- "carpeted floor mats don't come with 'the car' " about a Scion TC -- meaning they stole them and are trying to resell them!?

READ----

Hello Victoria;

No Carpets on the description.

Where did you see that? I am confused.

When the carpets mats come with the car are described on the 3rd column (right of the sticker) under South East Toyota Distribuitor Options installed.

I don’t have access to them unless they come with the car. The price disclosed for carpets on the 3rd column is $299.

Tks

Cheese. Sounds like a craptastic dealer, glad I got mine at Toyota of Palm Beach. They even threw in stuff i didn't ask for (ToyoGuard), and didn't charge me for it.

I didn't know mine came with carpeted floor mats until I opened my trunk and saw them in there; I had rubber floor mats in the car

Floormats are a standard feature on my last 3 FR-S cars from S.E.T. and it's on the window sticker from Southeast Toyota also.

They don't come standard on the other Scion models.

@HotLavaChick have you called Scion Experience Support? They are usually pretty helpful with this kind of thing and may be willing to "remind" the dealer of the correct answer.

Oh by the way, mine came from Southeast Toyota, with the floor mats just like the window sticker intended.

HotLavaChick, first off, great color choice (mine is HotLava also)

Here in CT they are included, make them do it right, they owe them to you.

If they continue to give you crap, see if any of your local television stations have one of those "On Your Side" reporters and give her a call. Tell her that the dealership you bought your car from is refusing to give you the floor mats you paid for and is trying to extort additional money from you for them, and also make sure you tell them the dealer is saying that it's their policy to do this to other customers as well. Teevee news producers absolutely love "gotcha" stories about bad car dealerships, and they'll likely jump on it if you're willing to go on camera for a quick interview.

One of the stations I worked for had a consumer reporter like that, and I doubt we actually shot and aired one in ten of the complaints we handled. We had a group of volunteers who would take complaints and call the scammer on behalf of the victim. The majority of the time, the scammer would suddenly become very cooperative and very, very interested in "clearing up this misunderstanding." The bad publicity is just not worth it for the cost of floor mats. We would go out and shoot the ones that refused to make good, because that made for much more interesting television.

You could also consider calling your state Attorney General's office and filing a consumer complaint. And there's always the BBB.

Got my FR-S in Stuart. They definitely come standard. You could call Toyota corporate about the dealer of they're not willing to cooperate

I told him I contacted South East Toyota, Scion, and corporate and he is now looking into his possible mistake. It does say it on the sticker.

I told him it is petty to keep going back and forth over stupid floor mats that come standard on the car.

Bottom says it there and on SCION FRS 2015 site!

You should also get a survey from Scion sometime in the next couple of weeks. The dealers can be scared too death of your comments on that. So if you haven't already got it and they keep messing around jut bring it up in the conversation.

Did he also give you your full tank of gas, or did they cheat you out of that too?
