I was thinking this...

Go look at the EJ Forums...there are people on their 3rd engine, while still under warranty

EDIT: I owned an STi and I enjoyed it...but every weird sound did spook me.

Not sure why this is some sort of news event. Who gives a shit about one blown engine unless it's their engine? Oh, right, Corvette. The only car that attracts as many "hey look at me" types as the 911.

Regardless, I hope the guy's new motor doesn't pop. That sucks no matter who you are or what you drive.

We had a Hennessey C7 Vette eat rod bearings with under 80km on the odometer.

It probably didn't help when the owner took delivery on a cold engine and I heard him go flat out all the way up the street upon leaving the dealer.

Chevy Crovette Z06 and the Nur

The new z06 has unofficially lapped the nur in under 7 min. Which puts it in the peformance range (obviously in the nur environment) with the 918, P1, and LaFerrari at a fraction of the costs.

Fabricated lap time that's been disavowed by Corvette's chief engineer:

Also near Zonda R territory....

GAHHH DAYYUMMM. If that's true, that really is the performance bargain of the century.

I've never been a big Vette fan but the new Z06 looks awesome and when I saw one in person a few weeks ago, my jaw dropped.

By unofficial, did you mean "completely made up?"

It wouldn't surprise me if the C7Z ran under 7:10 though. Officially that is
