It definitely gets used, and doesn't get a proper cleaning often either. I'm the guy who took the ft86speedfactory street front splitter to "failure" afterall (well beyond intended speeds, so not failure really, stupidity perhaps).
Also the N1 sits pretty close the the diffuser, and would vibrate driving down my road (gravel), so I have small pieces of rubber hose over rivets to space the diffuser from the mufflers slightly, adds a slight "bow" to the appearance/rear edge of the diffuser.
