the TVS unit also doesn't use oil, whereas the Sprintex gearbox needs topping up due to oil consumption

Eaton SC's are used by Toyota, Jaguar and Mercedes as original equipment

and OEMS tend to select a robust product to avoid warrenty claims but they've also got to meet power figures , noise requirements and cost

So I'd say cosworth have made the right choice and yes they have a history of using Eaton products

excuse me , maybe this question should not be here.
can we setup cosworth FA20 supercharger without their intrcooler?

How would you cool the intake temps once you've reduced the weight by removing the intercoolers?

Since Boost Juice is milked from Unicorns, it may weigh as little as aerogel. I've got a tank full of that shit out back. Weight distribution my friend.

That's a great goal, but absolutely the wrong way to go about it. Running compressed air into any engine without cooling it is just asking for trouble. Yeah I know innovate put out a super charger with that setup, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

If you're seriously considering that or a similar setup, pm Mike. He's very approachable. I remember him saying its possible to run without the intercooler, but walked away from those posts with the feeling that its not something he'd recommend. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm certainly not going to refute Mikes word, but I'd be very surprised if he thought that setup was a good idea.

if you look at this temperature plot that Cosworth published, you can see the air exiting the charger is 80 degC ( 176degF) the cores bring this down to 30 deg C or so without them the IAT will be 50 deg hotter

this would be bad
