OEM Audio Plus - Before and After

One of my biggest complaints about the FRS / BRZ when we first got it was the audio system. When driving such a good sports car you want tunes to back up the drive through the canyons or on a road trip. Out of the box the FRS / BRZ lacks this.

Every single guy here at the shop could hear the difference right away. We were all in agreement that it's the best bang for the buck mod you can do to make your daily drive experience better. Install is super simple and can be done in just a couple hours even if you have never done stereo work or installs. OEM Audio has a great install video making it a breeze as well as printed instructions.

Check out the video and if you have an OEM Audio system lets hear your impressions on the system. We absolutely love it!

It sounds great and would be an awesome upgrade, considering I normally turn the volume in the stock audio system to at least 40. Would love to hear this vs the stock audio in person.

Overall, great video and definitely sounds like a substantial improvement over stock. Once I plan to upgrade my audio this will be in mind, even though it will break the bank

I just wish it wasnt so expensive.. $1000 for speakers, sub, box, amp? I could probably replicate if not exceed this with $2-$300 of pawn shop gear (and thats buying nice stuff)

Idk for the money I feel like there are so many other things you could buy.. a full set of nice RPF1's for instance?

I do need to figure something out because my passenger side speaker has been rattling a lot so I think it might have blown.. Or if there is just something rattling.

check your door switches/switch panels (window/lock); they tend to start rattling after some time

Purchased the OEM Reference series. Fantastic performance. Twice, I've met a random FR-S driver at a parking lot and allowed them to listen to the audio system. They're always amazed and wow'd.

It is definitely on the expensive side when it comes to mods but I don't really see how RPF1's is even in the conversation since they are completely different mods. When it comes to straight audio performance it is hard to beat OEM Audio+. The bread and butter of the system is the fact that is is plug and play, takes a minimal amount of space in the trunk with good build quality, and the DSP amplifier is amazing. Regarding the amplifier, I spoke to someone within the company at a show and it is a similar model to 1000 dollar amps you can find aftermarket (hearing is believing). It'd be difficult to get similar audio quality aftermarket unless you knew how to tune and install the system yourself but even then a) it won't fit nearly as well and b) good luck debugging and fixing things down the road.

Customer service is one of their strongest points and if literally anything is rattling or not sounding right they will go out of their way to fix it. Funnily enough I actually just back from the @oemaudioplus shop because I had a slight rattle (first edition version and almost 2 years old) and I wanted them to take a look at it. They fixed the problem and even repainted my enclosure so it looks like new.

Exactly.

While the system may be pricey it is worth every penny if you enjoy your tunes and want to keep the OEM look and feel of things.

To me aftermarket decks just look cheesy. The car already has bluetooth audio, USB, CD ( anyone still use those ) sat radio, and more it just lacks audio quality in a major way.

OEM Audio builds on the stock system, upgrades speakers, adds a stock looking sub, then through their processing creates a more dynamic and robust sound while retaining the factory look of the system and it's features.

I've been looking at the OEM Audio+ system for a while. I'm past that point in my life where I want to install an audio system from scratch.
