It's literally plug and play It doesn't replace the badge, it just goes over it. It's got 3M adhesive backing underneath it, so all you do is peel it off and stick it on. It looks like it belongs there so no one really notices that it wasn't like that stock.

Also, tires have shipped, Non-stop Tuning Pulleys have shipped, and part of my Fteightysix order has shipped. Only waiting on the rotas and the winjets to ship now...

I spent the weekend celebrating my birthday with family, friends, and of course Aria. I was fortunate (or unfortunate?) enough that my tax return helped fund the festivities.

However, I did these myself:

I really like them. I know they're a love-hate thing with many people on the forums here, but I love them and really couldn't be happier

Not a bad birthday at all...

Alright, the last and final set of birthday modding took place today.

Non Stop Tuning lightweight pulleys for the crank, alternator, and water pump.

It got slightly scuffed up during install, but they work perfectly. NST says that the weight reduction on the pulleys should grant around 5 or so HP, but I don't have a dyno to prove it. However, it does pull a bit quicker, and it seems to balance out the slightly larger wheels and tires nicely. I mainly got them to reduce the strain on things due to the reduced weight.

My only issue is that these pulleys don't work at all with the pulley removal tool I bought for the OEM ones. It made the install take much longer than the removal on my AT, as I couldn't just put it in 6th like the MT. Still a great value though.

Winjet Headlights, with Morimoto HID install from FTEightySix. I really disliked the US spec headlights, and I absolutely love these. The HIDs are perfect too, and FTEightySix made it purely plug and play for me, saving an hour or two.

Afterwards, a shower and a beer and I'm still smiling. It's been a great weekend and I think I'm pretty dang content with the cosmetics of my FR-S now
Special thanks to Wheeldude, NonStopTuning, and FTEIghtySix!

Well, I found my Valentine for this year!

Got her all dressed up:

Anyways, I plan on spending Valentine's day taking some photos. Might do it tonight. Either way, washed the car today! Sonax is amazing stuff.

And then got some photos with her. Sadly I forgot to bring towels and ONR with me on my way down, so the bumped had a few bugs on it. I'm still really happy with how it turned out though.

Got the shipment for my Reverse Lockout and Slammer Shift Knob with the automatic engraving from Raceseng. Or at least I hope so. I ordered the lockout and the slammer was from Michele's campaign, so I told them I'd wait until it was all ready to ship.

I also got the Tug View tow hook and GoPro mount because I plan to use my company bonus this year on a recording setup so I can share these Kern County drives with y'all.

Tomorrow I get it Dyno'd at a place in town. I wonder if the small mods I've made will make a difference? :p

(Also I plan to slowly migrate these photos to Flickr. Imgur isn't as stable, I think)

Went for a Dyno run and drive this weekend

Not too bad. Basically stock, apart from the TRD Exhaust, Air Filter, and Lightweight Pulleys.

Now for today. I took the FR-S back up that Granite Road drive, but this time with a friend:

Luckily we both enjoyed the drive so much that we took it all the way up through Woody, CA, the Sequoias, and then through Lake Isabella and back down to town via the Kern Canyon run. Took around 3 hours and a half tank of gas, but we both loved the drive and the car.

I really want to save up for that GoPro and audio recorder now. Y'all need to see how fun this drive is!

Sadly about a half hour on Granite Road this happened:

So the GoPro has a smudge of a fly in the shot for half the ride up. The footage is still good enough to share though, so I don't mind too much.

However, the brewery was amazing. Spent a couple of hours there sampling everything and brought some goodies back with me:

The drive back wasn't as fun due to all the camper vans and double cab trucks on the narrow canyon roads, but there were no bugs and everyone used the turnouts to let me pass which was great.

All in all, a pretty great day.
Video will be uploaded ASAP. It takes forever though, so probably by next week.

I think the recording setup worked out pretty well, all in all.
Also this Saturday is the first scheduled maintenance. Got some OEM oil filters and Royal Purple to change the oil.

Lovely footage, plenty green rocky mountains, twisty roads & sunshine. I note that slower vehicles pull over & let you by - is this customary in the USA ? If only it were like that here in Oz :/
