Turn signal issues?

So iv had my car for 3 years and still cant get enough... but recently iv stumbled upon an issue. When signaling to turn left the blinker stops making noise and the arrow stays glowing, this had occurred more than once but when I turned the car off the arrow would also turn off. Yesterday I was driving and the issue occurred again, I thought to myself that there would be time to get it looked at later. Once parked I turned the car off and pulled the key out of the ignition and the light stayed on. Looking at the back of the car the rear blinker light was on but not flashing, along with the blinker in the front. So I then get back into my car drove to the dealership with the blinker still locked in, and 4 hours later they give it back saying it was a computer issue. I took it back anxiously and start my drive home. I continuously try to test if the blinker is 100 % functional and as I get toward my exit the issue comes back and the blinker stays illuminated. I take the car back to the dealer and they give me a rental.... Prius . So if you guys have any thoughts on the subject I would really appreciate any info.
Here is what you need to know
1. I have replaced the tail lights with toms and switched the relays
2. The headlights have been replaced by HIDs
3. All this has been done for over 1 year
4. I have done no splicing or electrical work at all
5. The service guy said that they re flashed the ECU to get rid of the problem
6. Flashing the ECU does not fix the problem
7. I have a new found love for the prius
8. I MISS MY CAR

Throw the stock tails back on and see if the problem goes away.

Might be your flash module under your steering wheel?

The ECU doesn't control the blinkers, the turn signal flasher module does.

That's a bigger problem than the blinkers not working.

Its definitely the relay. I had the same thing happen to my JDM toms and I had to switch back to the stock relay. I had hyperflashing but its better than a dead battery.

I have an extra relay, if changed you believe that the problem will be fixed? why the relay though?

As I was driving home the thought that it might have been the relay that was changed when the taillights were installed was the cause of all this bugged me, but the first thing that came to mind that day was whether it could be something in the steering column that controlled the indicators. Could that be the case?

That is pretty impressive. But be wary, driving a Prius almost instantaneously turns you into a holier-than-thou pretentious doucher. Not accusing you or saying it has already happened... just looking out for a fellow 86er. Not a bug you want to catch, my friend!

it's your flash relay module. The reason why it's doing that is because the stock relay is not built for LEDs. I believe tom's supplied the extra relay. That's supposed to work with LEDs but if that still doesn't work you'll have to try something else.

haven't used this myself but people have given this great reviews when it comes to swapping out your tail lights.

plus you can make it do stuff it normally doesn't

I got the car back, they did not fix the issue because they said that there was nothing they could do. I got home and connected my other set of toms and they did the same thing so I replaced my LED relay with a new one and it fixed the problem. I have no clue why the first led relay went bad, but im glad that I had an extra.
