Sorta on the right track. Actually i was tying to look out for the "little kids" who try this "pedal dance" and drive off a damn cliff. Its not a bad idea it just needs to be done with caution not just every time you drive fast.

Turning off traction control (3 sec press) has become part of my routine every time I get in the car. 7700+ miles and I bet less than 500 of those were with traction control on. But then again I learned to drive without ABS or any other nannies. The whole cutting power when getting some wheel spin (hard shift into second) makes me want to strangle whoever designed that particular "feature". If you're just a commuter then sure, leave it on but as for me I'm a driver.

Sounds like you need some driving lessons.

I wonder how people did it, even 10 years ago, when most cars didn't have traction control.

Oh, the pedal dance works on Automatics. Read instructions. Carefully. And learn to drive standard like a man.

1. Remove/replace all electronic nannies with manual stuff
2. Sell removed components
3. Profit
4. Drive happy

pedal dance not working on my 2015 brz. Is the pedal dance different on the
2015 brz/frs. Or can a flash tune be a possible problem. I would love to know the answer since i have had two instances this past weekend where the EBD screwed up a nice turn during AX.

Do we know which temperature parameter it uses? I've wondered if it doesn't use the oil temp because it will lock out even when the water temp gauge hits "normal."

yes sir, car is fully warmed up. I have tried it a half dozen times over the last few weeks. I always try it after I drive somewhere.

Oh, but one problem I didn't think of. I have a mishomoto thermostat installed that definitely keeps my temps lower. Maybe that is not allowing the coolant temp to hit a proper level.

Thanks for your help.
