Hey guys, i tried looking for my question throughout the thread but theres just too many pages so here goes.

Im looking for a coil over set up when i swap out my stock tires and wheels for a square set up of either RPF1/gramlights 57extremes or enkei nt03 18x9.5 all around.

my BRZ is a DD. i don't think i will ever take it to the track but i do like having a little fun pushing it in my neighborhood lightly and taking it through some mountain passes. i live in southern california and i am not looking for anything super crazy. just want the best bang for your buck coilover for the things i described above. I was recommended either the tein street flex or the RSR sport i. can you guys give me some advice of what type of coils i should go with? my priorities is to have the wheels look flush on the car, comfortability since i will be DDing. and also to improve performance but mainly just DD, i don't need to improve performance for track use. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Seems to be a positive improvement over the Showas according to this reviewer.

Physical part numbers on the springs and all measurements are the same. Dampers obviously have different part numbers.

I have full sets of both.

I started my setup with Tarmac 0's and RPF1 18X9.5 all around. Decent setup until you go about 1.4 inches lowered. I think they would be fine if you do not go much lower. I then switched to KW V3's and all my issues went away. Glorious coilovers for the DD even with all the adjustments.

so you like the v3s? I'm basically just dd i don't wanna go too low cuz ill fuck up my bumper driving around. just want them to look good with my wheels don't care about slamming. just wanna lower like an inch or so. I'm debating between the RSR sports, V3, Street flex (which i heard are about to be discontinued so I've seen em for 1.1k) and was recently recommended the skunk2 by a vendor. thoughts? i don't think ill ever see the track

PM for more information on parts.

TEIN Street Flex is definitely the least expensive option that's good. RS*R Sports-i is pretty comfortable on the street. KW V3 is the best DD coilovers out of the 3, but it can easily be the worst if you don't know how to dial in the compression and rebound settings properly.

If anything, TEIN or RS*R. They are suspension companies first with proper R&D and testing tied to their name.

CSG suggested them to me for what I use them for with daily driving and being able to adjust settings while lowered. I set them to the settings Myles of Racecomp Engineering suggested here in a post and haven't looked back once. They are amazing coilovers and sold me on "you get what you pay for" with suspension.

Not to mention Mike also gave me a killer deal on them. Best part is when you purchase from them too, you get amazing advice from a vendor that actually has track driven miles and tested these parts pretty hard with real world results. Same with the RCE guys too.

yea I've def ftaken a hard look at the KW and RSR. i won't be tracking so all DD just want comfortability and good street performance. and main thing is when i need to service them it will be convenient

That's exactly what I bought these for.

i was told that tein are local and they are easy to get your coil overs serviced at. how about KW and RSR? you heard any feedback about the skunk2 coil overs? i was told by a vendor that they compared em with one of their cars that had RSR sports on em and they felt very similar

RS*R and TEIN are local to us so questions can be answered relatively quickly and servicing is much easier. They are suspension companies so they have proper R&D involved.

Send a message via AIM to Racecomp Engineering
KW V3 would be a solid choice. We've got a ton of time on them and are very good at dialing them in. Also, lifetime warranty.
