When first learning to drift, should one stick to stock wheels for a while or opt for larger/wider wheels? I ask because I'm planning on attending a drift day at a track soon and I want to buy extra stock wheels but am unsure if the money would be better spent on more optimal wheels for drifting. Advice please?

Yup, just get some used oem wheels. You can fit a 205-225 tire on them no problem and they will be cheap. I have 12 extra oem wheels because you can find them for such a good deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup. No reason to bump up to larger wheels and tires from the get go. Stock sizes work fine for the car.

One would think that having done this for a long-ass time in the past, one wouldn't forget, right?

Excellent driving mate! Was that with your 18s or 17s?
I've been second guessing my 18" wheel purchase for the lack of power this car has. I don't plan on adding turbo either. (Anytime soon)
