I was! I figured I would get in there before the really mean guys got to him!!!!! Seems to have worked as nobody has flamed him bad yet.
Actually starting to get attached to the little (figurative not literal) guy.

Have you considered if the gap between you and the really mean guys have narrowed slightly as of late?

I'm quite sure I didn't catch all the layers of subtle irony in that statement.
