Do not read those and then try to find symptoms that fit them! It needs to be the other way around. So if you have a symptom you can be better informed as to the action required to correct it.
Also, remember that not every car had each and every one of those issues and even if yours did there is a good chance the previous owner already had them fixed.
No problem buddy and I'm the only owner :p

Sorry, though you got it used!
Well put it this way then, if you haven't noticed by now you probably don't have half the problems!

I don't know if I can agree with this. Bought mine in October 2012, and this door/fender panel gap only appeared within the last six months to year and has gotten progressively worse.

Thanks for the fix though - I'll definitely be doing this.

Toyota of Kirkland just fixed the door / fender / quarter panel gap issue on my car. I mentioned the Tech tip S-TT-0043-12 (http://www.tundraheadquarters.com/bl...lity-problems/) to the manager but he didn't have much to say in response. I'm glad that they fixed it though...

I just noticed this on mine, a 2016. Can't tell if the trunk lid is supposed to be flush from front to back or if the front is supposed to be a little below the C-pillar, kind of a mini-"Flying buttress"...

While I agree the construction is probably not up to Toyota standards, isn't this really a Subaru issue since the twins are built by Subaru? If so, how does the panel fit compare with other Subarus?

This is normal. If it's not flush from say, the mid-point, back then you've got an issue.

I was back at Toyota / Scion of Kirkland for the same fender / door alignment issue today. They want me to talk to Scion / Toyota corporate now. So, I have a case number and should hopefully hear something tomorrow??

Toyota of Kirkland and their service manager Adam Powell are unfortunately trying to deny the issue now... I tried speaking to someone from corporate but they just talk to the dealer so it is pretty useless.

FYI.

Both you and your dealer spent much more time than the time it takes to fix (adjust) it.
The bolt size is the same as battery bolt. If you have a tool to disconnect the battery, then you have the tool to adjust this alignment. I'd say it takes 2-3 minutes to do it for the first time and 1 minute from the 2nd time.

Thanks. Yeah, for me it's partly about the principle of it and the dealer / manufacturer being honest. They should own up to the manufacturing defect.
