Im #1 still with no VIN/ETA as of this afternoon. Phaedrus here on the board is #2 at the dealership and got his already. I will twiddle my thumbs and wait lol

Sorry to hear you didn't join me in the VIN-club yet....soon I'm sure! But after the wait you'll end up with a beautiful GBS. I hope I don't regret the DGM...haven't seen one in person yet.

No one in the New England sub-forum have mentioned getting even VON's yet, let alone VIN's. This is such a pain!
#1 in line at Atlantic Subaru in Bourne MA, GBS Limited 6MT.

I'm on hold with SoA now; let's see what they come up with (if anything)... NOPE! New England does everything backwards because of the different distributor, so we have no VON's, and no knowledge of what's going on.

Let me know what you hear from them. I doubt it will be much of anything though. When I called them last week they had to call my dealer since I fall under the SDC area and then call me back with what they found out. Dealer seems to have more information in this case than SOA. Seems better to just cut out the middle man and ask your dealer if they have anything showing up in their pipeline or whatever it may be called.

She said they may be submitting them as "sold" orders, which would mean differently than if they ordered them without a "sold" designation. If anything, I'd think that would give us more information on the car's ETA, not less. When we have an incoming Audi marked "sold", it gets priority for shipping and typically arrives sooner than standard unsold units. All I know is, this is bull$#!t! When we order an Audi, from day one we have an ETA within one week of when it will arrive at port, and within one week of when it will be dealer-delivered. I find having a week's margin of error frustrating, let alone knowing jack squat!!

Well, when you order the Audi's are these brand new models like the BRZ?

I spoke to a rep at SoA today and he said that he's going to call me back by Thursday with a VON/VIN of my car. My local dealer said that my order has been put through and is in the first allocation bunch he's getting, which should be in the next weeks. I also spoke to a dealer in NH, and they just recently got their allocation list for the month and should be seeing them month too.

Dealer just called me today, my BRZ made it into the first round of allotments for New England. ETA is somewhere between the last week of May and first Week of July. I'm excited!

No, it makes no difference. The only time it's vague is if we take a deposit to order a car and then not knowing when we get an allocation to order the unit. Once the order is placed, it's spot-on.
