I've read about it and I'm still pretty clueless. I'm not into sports but I would love to know enough about cricket that I can interrupt people talking about football or baseball and baffle them about a sport for once :p

In Australia amongst a large proportion of the population it is deemed un-Australian to admit you don't follow cricket. Admittedly, I would rather watch 5 minutes of curling than 5 minutes of cricket. As I don't watch TV this is irrelevant.
