Oh yeah, that friggin Thorn bounty... Finally got my sheet together and did some Rumble, played defensively and kept one eye glued to the radar... After about 1.5 hours, hit 280/500. I'M GONNA FINISH IT.

Just party up with 6 friends, play Rumble, and have them feed you kills.

It's pretty worth it, I enjoy the gun a lot. I did it in Control, found it easier to catch people off guard.

I have a Dubious Task right now so I may very well ask for your assistance in the near future. I'm at the Crucible stage now and I suck at it. I'm not a big shotgun guy in PvE but I do like them for PvP. Yes, I'm one of those guys.

Edit-sorry I wasn't able to help with the Raid last night. Did you end up doing it?

True, I suppose it only works for games that have an included offline component. Online only games will still ask you to login (Destiny, Titanfall, etc.). But the key difference is that it is the game asking you to login to their server instead of the xbox asking if you even own the game.


Also, @53Driver what are your thoughts on sim-cade racing, because FH2 never gets old.

I've never played any of the Forza games. I tried my hand at the F1 game because I got it super cheap but found it hard using the hand controller. I'm sure with practice it would become much easier. With that being said, I think a racing game would be much more enjoyable using a steering wheel, pedal and shifter controller but the ones I have looked at aren't cheap. All that aside, the F1 game I had was pretty cool especially if you turned the volume on the suround sound way up. The downside was it really upset the girlfriend lol.

F1 games are brutally difficult. I think Horizons 2 has a demo.

A *good* wheel/pedal/stand combo are very worth it if you want to get into racing games/sims. I have the older Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel, all aluminum Clubsport pedals, and their Rennsport stand. They work incredibly well (the brake pedal uses a pressure sensor and a rubber "spring" that emulates hydraulic pressure). It is compatible across PC, XB, and PS3, but sadly I don't think so with XB1/PS4. Now it just collects dust.

A controller can't be beat for convenience. Depending on the game and how it's steering algorithms work (this just doesn't work for some games), I like to hold the stick full forward and roll it around the front edge for left/right input. I found it gives you substantial control around center and makes it possible to make small precise corrections while holding a turn. For me it was a huge improvement over flicking the stick or trying to steer smoothly without my thumb spazzing all over the place.

Bungie announced via their Twitter a "small, but Legendary" package being delivered to us through the postmaster this week. Probably something to do with the holiday gift package they promised players in January.

Yes we did but it took longer than expected. We had to carry a level 29 through his first time doing the raid. It was frustrating but we stuck with it because we all know what it's like being on the other side of 30.

Well, I should start having some more free time on weekday evenings soon. The girlfriend starts up school again next week so she'll be spending a lot of her evenings on homework.

Given how these "minor" expansions are $20/each, what do they expect us to spend on a "major" expansion? $40 would be seriously pushing it.

If they don't fix the resetting progress in every DLC scheme they've got going now I really cant see myself playing this past the HoW DLC. For whatever reason that really rubs me the wrong way, even if it took me less than a month to get back to where I am now.

Maybe its because they made my Devil You Know obsolete, I freaking love that gun.

I agree. I really liked a few of the legendary weapons I had prior to the DLC dropping. I've kept both my handcannons for collector reasons more than anything and they still work fine for most stuff.

Edit-And to make things worse, the new legendary stuff that is being sold by the Vanguard and factions suck. I've looked at everything and none of it is anything I really want. Maybe the handcannon that the Crucible quartermaster is selling.

This x1000. The only two guns that I'm even remotely interested in are TFWPKY 1969 from the crucible dude and The Chance from the FWC vendor (both hand cannons).

Too bad these are the only 2 factions I have that are at 0 rep and both require crucible marks.

Just because I needed to spend some marks I bought The Devil You Don't. 5 rounds? HA!
