I wouldn't worry about it. But I just plugged mine with the 12v plug from the glove compartment and left all the hoses in place.

Or should I just go with the trusty RPF1's?
I have a set I've used for about a dozen events. I always drive to and from the event on my autox set of wheels. No issues so far. I bought them used from a member here (I think simpleisbest - if so, great seller!). The lowest offset you can use in C-Street.

As for wheel nuts, I'm using McGard spline drive nuts. They seem pretty durable and haven't screwed up the stock studs. They have rotating seats as well, so that's nice.

The new offset rule this year is +/- 7mm, FYI.

I have used the McGuard spline drive lug nuts for over 2 years. They work great with aftermarket wheels and stock lugs.

There was a guy at the Texas pro with a sound tube delete. No protest but he was out of the trophies. Does this mod gain you anything besides a quieter cabin? Who the hell wants a quieter cabin? Raise your hands, I've got some Buicks to sell.

*raises hand*

I used to have a sick sounding VW, then at some point I stopped getting hardons from "car noises"

if I had the scratch, I'd go and buy a tesla roadster right this moment. Can't wait for the electric revolution.

The twins sounds like ass (relative to anything but Honda) and the intake sound is worse than exhaust. Of course we don't want to listen to it.

I stuffed a small chunk of foam in the hole at the floorboard to shut it up - definitely falls under 'comfort and convenience'.

So I know this topic has been exhausted countless times, but I'm looking to get my first set of good (autocross dedicated) tires. I have a 2nd set of OEM wheels to run for autocross, and will be keeping the "Prius tires" on my daily wheels for general hoonage and tom-foolery.

From what I've gleamed, the majority of guys at Nats are running RS3s. However, I've also heard RS3s take awhile to warm up and aren't ideal for lower temp/rainy track days. I live in Illinois and the temps for the first few events can be fairly low.

Sound like a lot of people are gonna be giving the Z2 Star Specs a try this season, and was figuring I'd do the same. Probably in a 235/40/17 or maybe 245.

However, I'd really appreciate any input you guys can offer or resources you can direct me towards; so that I can make a better/more informed decision.

Thanks!

I like the way they look as well, available in gun metal, and white:
I have called and confirmed that these wheels are in stock and ready to ship at Buddy Club USA: in both White and Gunmetal

The red outline stripe wheels are not in stock.

17x7
5x100
+48mm
18lbs each

These are a great option for stock class if you haven't bought wheels yet, and don't want to spend the coin for RPF-1's, that seem to bend easily (I've bent 4/8 Enkei's that I have)

send me a PM and I can hook you up with a vendor to buy these through for a great price, and also a vendor that supports the FT86 forum/community.
