You mentioned tracking without a tune being damaging to the car. Is this something I should be concerned about? I bought my car in may 2013. Started tracking this summer and I go about once per month.

Also, after my last track day, I noticed the cap of my brake fluid reservoir had a bunch of green gunk on it. I'm assuming that the fluid has absorbed some water and it's time for a flush. I'm using torque rt700 and it has been through about 7 months of daily driving and 5 track days. Is that about what to expect for longevity?

Lastly, here's a video from buttonwillow earlier this month. If you guys have a few min, any constructive criticism would be appreciated! I feel I could definitely improve on my braking and corner entry speed.

Green? That's.. really unusual for Torque. Try flushing; you should only need one bottle unless it's REALLY bad.

The tune depends on if your car was made before or after the factory tune change. You have a chance at having one of those "fixed" cars based on the purchase date, but who knows how long your car was on the dealer lot for. Check your driver door jam to see the production date and report back.

Those are pretty clean laps. Focus on higher entry speeds, and getting on the throttle sooner coming through (not out) of the corners. You get a decent amount of tire noise; try to sustain that noise through the ENTIRE corner, not just a portion of it.

Already marked my calendar for jan 24th and feb 28th! Thanks for the feedback. And yea, there was a good amount of a dark green sludge-like substance. Really strange. Already ordered some more for a flush. Just checked and the manufacture date is 12/12 so probably not fixed huh?

Yeah; I'd recommend you get Ecutek and a tune. You probably have some latent damage, but after you replace the seals (if they actually fail), the failure should never come back.

@csgmike this is sort of track related... I am looking at FI kits. I like the JRSC you have abused and its reliability on track. Also looking at a turbo kit. However, the kit utilizes a front mount location. I can have the thermal barrier coating, turbo blanket, and oil cooler, but will that prevent heat soak at the track or is it just not possible to keep temps down on track with a front mount turbo?

What's the cutoff production date? I think mine is 7/8 of 13.

The cutoff is in January 2013.

Go to the link below and scroll down to page 2 of the TIS (the sideways page) - that shows cutoff VIN Numbers for the DI seals problem.

That 240 has some mega suspension issues... fix that and braking and its easily a 1:21 car.

We ran a 1:23 on R-comps; 1:24 is what we ran with street tires.

Revolution Performance RP400. This seems like such a great turbo kit. I have talked with the owner and he is way cool. However, I love to track my car and I do not want to invest in something that will prevent me from doing so. So, I am wondering if anyone has first hand experience/knowledge of a front mount turbo with thermal barrier coating, turbo blanket, and oil cooler running reliably at the track? Thanks.
