As long as you don't drive it like you stole it as that would suck for the person that buys it later on.........

Assuming he doesn't decide to buy it out after the lease period.

Congrat!

So what if he leased? He can enjoy the car as much but has the option to return or buy at the end.

Have fun and drive safe

I'm leasing mine for 3 years, 15k miles/year. I plan to go through the break-in period properly; don't want to take any chances with something happening in the last 9k miles of my lease when I will be out of warranty...

For any other car brand other then Scion you're right. But thanks to Scion's pure pricing on new vehicles, it's not the case. Since you can't negotiate the price on the vehicle at the start, I went with a lease. I owed 3k on top of the lease at the start for my old vehicle. Just switched it to a loan two weeks ago and not only did I get my 3k back, I'm saving an additional 5k off what I would have paid had I went the loan route from the start.

Original amount $31,000 | New loan $18,500 + $4,000 already paid = $22,500 at 0.9% financing.

They are having a hard time selling this car. And the inventories have gone through the roof with people owning them less then one year.
