Yellow Screams!

How well do pictures represent the yellow? Does it look the same in person as in pictures or is it more metallic or flat.. etc?

Any regrets from getting the Release Series vs saving a few grand and getting a BRZ with similar options such as the HID, keyless entry, etc. (minus the exterior cosmetics)? Or regrets on the release series overall? I'm looking at a few BRZs that are sitting around 25k-26k, a significant chunk of change from 30k for the release series.

How does the TRD quad exhaust sound? Anybody planning on swapping the exhaust? I want to throw on a Nameless axleback but obviously the retangular cutouts don't fit most of the dual exhausts out there.

The Yellow screams out loud dude! It attracts attention where ever it goes. There is no other yellow out there like it short of a Camaro and that is a different class. People wonder wtf the car is with the color on it.

Regrets? None so far. I got the Automatic and am seriously happy with it so far. I wanted a manual, but see the serious nature of the auto they put out with the paddle shifters. It mocks an R type with credibility. Its crisp shifting, clean and rewarding. I hardly use the auto functionality unless on the highway and then I get the 30+ MPG with it. How can you beat that?

Performance is the same as a standard FR-S though. You are buying look and platform only. Its a serious look and platform though. The only thing on it that effects output is the tuned exhaust. It produces a serious horsepower sound that attracts the street jackass to want to street race you. Again fun! Seriously it makes you vibrate in the drivers seat like the standard FR-S should have done. Start if from cold and you will smile every time. It rumbles. Worth the money definitely.

Worth the extra dollars all the way around in my opinion. You have to form your own though to make it worth the appeal.

Anyone got pics of their RS1 driving with the running lights on? I want to see it but won't let anyone else drive my car to see it for myself, lmao! The inward slant on the LED row has to look cool from a distance. I imagine it looks angry coming at you or from behind. Nicely angry!

Just got mine over the 1k mile, the 'drive it nice and under 4k rpm' recommendation. Anyone else notice a real power band shift between 4 and 6k rpm's? Slightly over 4k, the sucker seems to have a sudden attitude change and kicks in some more torque, noticeable torque too.

I think that's what they call the torque dip on our cars.
