What is your autox history?
As far as engine/exhaust you should add a tune to that list if you want to get optimal power and a car that runs safe and smooth. |

Plan on tune. I have been running SM the past two years in my 13 genesis coupe that was fully prepped. I can drive. I'm by far not the best, but I'm not a noob either. Planning on staying in SM (I like my competition there). So any mods go pretty much. A squared setup was preferred on my coupe because it was heavy as hell and pushed like crazy, I've been reading that a staggered setup can dial out some of the over steer in the frs. Just looking for advice from people that know first hand on all this stuff.

Alignment will fix the handling (the frs actually will understeer).
@whataboutbob has been picking up wins in SM with the innovate SC. Maybe check out his threads/posts. |

As a word of advice, max wheel width for STX (the street touring class that the FR-S/BR-Z falls into) is 9". With the 9.5" wheel width will place you in CSP (The Street Prepared Class that the FR-S/BR-Z falls into).
Also, for STX, the front pipe has to have a Catalytic Converter. The header may be catless in STX. Common wheel/tire setups that I have seen for STX prepped FR-S/BR-Z will be a 17 X 9" with 245/40/17 or 255/40/17 tires on all 4 corners. |

The only mod you have listed not STX is the 9.5" wheels and keeping a cat in either the header or front pipe. I'd just stay in STX.
SM obviously the biggest change you could do is run race tires but I'm not sure you want to go that route. However, you can get better tires than the RE-11 like the Hankook RS-3, Dunlop ZII Star Spec, or BFG Rival. It would likely make a bigger difference than anything else you have listed. |

I work for Bridgestone and get 50% off of re 11s, until they take that away I'll likely stick with them lol. How does a staggered setup do? Does it push too bad? If so I'll just run a squared setup.

Running on streets in SM is suicide... why would you torture yourself such. You'd be better off configuring for STX and plan an upgrade path into SM once you get a hoosier budget.

Believe it or not stx is suicide period. There are extremely seasoned driver's running cars that they have been dialing in for years in stx in KYSCCA. They usually run top 3 under a mod

Have you looked at what mods really work, or are you just throwing parts at it? Staggered tires will not be your friend, and you'll probably want to ditch the sway bars. RE11's probably aren't the fastest tire for STX either. 18's are just extra weight with no benefit either. Strut bars also won't make you faster. I would also re-think the brands on a lot of the mods you have planned, especially the intake. Many intakes don't gain much (or any) power over a better panel filter, and some run dangerous AFR's without a tune. If you want to run in CS, just get some stick 215's or 225's for the stock wheels. If you want to run STX, simplify your list. You'll get way more benefit by spending properly on suspension over exhaust parts and a tune. Get QUALITY coilovers, camber plates, rear adjustable arms, 17x9's with 245's or 255's, replace whatever bushings you're allowed to and a proper alignment. My vote is still to run it stock (minus tires) for a season to see how you want to tweak it, otherwise you don't know what you're trying to fix.
