imbalance

My feeling is that the playing field is no longer level. It adds a new "resource/mats", cash, that not everyone has the means to "farm" at the same rate. Instead of everyone starting at a level playing field and relying on their time, skill, and trading ability to attain the best gear to use and show off, the specter of the haves/have nots comes into play. It breaks the "pure" game/fantasy aspect into something more real and in the end really ticks people off... Blizzard has noted that they have taken strides to make sure players can not buy their way up in levels. But really all the diablo games have been about the gear. This game is not straying too far from that part of the formula. If you can afford to buy the best gear for your level instead of spending weeks of dungeon crawling for it, you'll level much quicker!

I for one am probably going to only use the cash auction to sell and the gold auction to buy. I'm probably not the only one going to go that route either, so it'll be interesting to see how the online economy develops. A gold to cash exchange rate is going to quickly establish itself and probably change rapidly especially as each patch/game re-balance occurs causing more disruption.

My personal take on it though? I finally have a way to make a couple bucks in exchange for the crazy hours i'm going to be playing.

If Blizzard were selling the items and anyone with the money can buy it, I would not like that. But my understanding is the item has to be an in game drop and the finder has to list it for sale for the item to appear in the auction house. If that is correct I don't think it takes much, if anything, away from the game.

I was in the beta as well. Now pre-loaded and ready go to.

Barbarian and Witch Doctor will be my first couple classes. Monk wasn't as fun as I had hoped but hard to say at higher levels.

Personally I like the RM Auction House though I'll likely never use it. I enjoy farming for cool stuff.

People still play Aion? I keed I keed. GW2 seems promising.

I'm not actively playing anything right now, so I'll be picking it up.

Anyone plays Combat Arms? I'm a leader of a great clan on there.

I kinda wish I was living at home with my parents rent-free so I could put hella hours into gaming like I did back in the day. Counterstrike, Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Battlefield 1942, etc, etc. Man those were the days. Being a grown man sucks balls.

I kinda want to get into GW2 but the effort & time it would take to master that game like I did with GW1 gives me no time for anything else. And I'd rather prefer anything else over GW2.
