any GROM owners out there?

They're getting released here in the new year and I'm thinking of picking one up.

I'm 6'3" 240lbs, but apparently other guys my size still have a good time on them.

Sounds like fun. They don't often sell bikes that size here in the US but I have had a ton of fun out of the states riding sub 250cc bikes and scooters. There is something about having a bike that weights 100kg that sounds great. Unfortunately in the state I live there is no lane splitting allowed and it really ruins the fun of owning a small maneuverable bike.

A friend of mine used to own (a long time ago) a Mito 125. I only rode it a couple of times but it was so much fun. On tight twisty down hill roads I embarrased a few much larger machines being poorly ridden. It also could stop so quickly I thought I would go over the bars. One of the things I remember enjoying about it was having to constantly wring its neck to get any where but not going crazy speeds in the mean while.

If it weren't over double the price, I think the Yamaha MT-07 (FZ-07 here in the states) 'torque monster' would be a really nice way to go if you are after that style bike. It weighs in at ~187kg and with a~655cc motor produces nice flat torque band with good power yet works well for both beginner and advanced riders alike.

I'm not sure a 187kg 655cc bike falls into the same category as a 102kg 125cc bike.

Hmmmm... That sounds vaguely familiar. Where do I remember having that feeling?
