Wow what a Noobe! Everybody knows that they are 2.8 ounces too heavy and there are not enough colour choices to be any good.

I had to get rid of my Mazda2 mostly because I could not live with that stupid grin -- and just to keep this thread on track, I sorta regret the FR-S decision over the BRZ, but the BRZ also has kind of an evil grin look to it and I just couldn't get another car with a face.

Visconti tune for my Vortech kit. He put a nice hole in my block, which thankfully, he replaced on his dime.

BC Racing BR coilovers. Damn 8K spring rates feel like I'm driving on cinder blocks when I hit a bump... (Only been a DD so far)
On that note, I'm looking to sell some BC Racing BR coilovers within the next week when I get my new suspension installed. |

F 'n A Automotive Underglow Kit - completely mislead about the difficulty of installation, and I found out later that it was basically an up-charged kit purchased from Diode Dynamics with the most inadequate, and poor instructions included with it that looked like they had been typed up by a seventh grader just before the package was shipped out. He even mention that it was necessary to cut a hole in the firewall, or several other majorly important factors that I only learned by having an exhausting, and lengthy exchange of emails with him due to the completely rudimentary "instructions".
The cheap backing on the strips would not hold up on the uneven textured surface under the side panels of the car - even with gobs of super glue, and a special adhesive promoter, but the guy that sold them to me (Frank) refused to acknowledge that they weren't designed to hold up without additional support - such as outdoor grade automotive foam tape (which was listed as being included with your purchase of his kit, but I did not receive with mine) that he only later sent me after all of the issues I was experiencing, and after I had spent an additional $100 getting replacement strips. I was charged $20 more for the bluetooth controller than what it was listed for on his sale thread, and when I brought this up with him he stated that the prices "had just gone up", but in the several weeks that went buy where I was communicating with him through email regarding the issues I was having with my kit, the thread was never edited to reflect the new price; when I brought this up with him again after noticing that, he said that "at that time" the price had gone up, but I guess in a matter of 2 - 3 weeks the price had gone back down without the need to ever reflect the updated price in the thread? There was a slew of other issues I had with him, and never have I experienced such great buyer's remorse for any purchase I've made - period, and instead of helping me he blamed me not taking the kit to a shop (even though I had a friend that has a good amount of experiencing modding cars helping me with the installation, and after he described the installation as being a "straight-forward and everyday simple" installation prior to my commitment to purchasing it). I plan on writing an honest review for F 'n A Automotive that describes my experience in great detail, but in honesty I am still terribly frustrated with the situation (this happened back in September), and I just want a break from having to think about it - it made me hate myself despite how thorough I am about investigating, and researching any product before I purchase it (636, and JiveTurkey have the same kit, so I was a bit bias in believing that I was being an informed consumer when purchasing the kit). It made me struggle not to hate my car, and the fact that I ever started modding it. Last edited by Ammunition; 12-26-2014 at 04:24 PM. |

I agree Miatas look feminine. They are the twin sisters characters in Cars. I think its the soft lines and not having the slightest look of aggression.
Miatas remind me of the analogy between a fat girl and a moped. ![]() OK back on topic...I regret the titanium shift knob. Was an impatient purchase from Nextmod. Doesn't properly cover the lockout ring and as it turns out its a $20 Alibaba item I paid $80 for. Went back to the stock knob. Incidentally the guy working at Nextmod seemed to be a bit of an arrogant d%&k. Good thing, or I'd have bought a lot more from them.

Sometimes I miss my old car for the power, and sometimes I regret not buying one of the lightly used FI BRZs or FRSs that pop up in the classifieds here before buying a stock one for a little cheaper. But I love all the mods on the car currently.
