Played with them. Personal Preference.
I understand.
I did 3 Lexus and 1 Toyota.
The difference with a clear lense and tuning the whole unit was substantial, the cutoff was sharp, not glaring and the foreground was distinct and not harsh. A tuned projector will be 30% better than a factory one, if you know how. Most people are not comfortable working with HID's, I get it, but...
The output advantage was evident with black ice last winter in North Georgia during the winter storm. A real safety improvement, a real life saver.

I am ordering the Philips Ultinon D4S 6000K today from The Retrofit Source with 15% off for Black Friday.

I ordered D4S 6000K HID bulbs from diode dynamics and I say go get it! It's a good quality and even matched to OEM, phillips, and others. Slight tint of blue with white output~

This thread has commenters that know a lot more bout lighting than me!

What is my brightest plug n play option for 2013 FRS? Something simple like remove bulb, insert bulb. I prefer a white light. Stock is yellow and dull and I'm old enough that I can't see sh!t at night.

The difference between 6000k and 6200k is minimal. If you are looking to get more blue color out of the HID bulbs, 8000k would probably fit your needs. For visibility, we recommend either 5000k and 6000k setup. Just my 2 cents
