So I came across this, a pretty sweet deal for a Rocket Bunny kit, but I have no idea what they mean by unfinished, anyone got any clues? Thanks guys!

Thanks for clarifying guys! But don't all the kits come unpainted anyways?

That's a dope deal. Tempted, but the wheels I bought just won't fill the wide body and I don't want to need spacers.

And who cares if its a fake? So long as the buyer doesn't go around claiming it to be genuine, then no harm, no foul. Only the snobbiest of snobby douches would make a big deal of it.
EDIT: those snobs would probably be owners of genuine kits who feel the need to make themselves feel better about their 5000 dollar kit. Personally, I could spend 5k a lot better than on something that adds no functionality. |

it matters. I don't have experience with the original but potential problems are-
-might have gaps since its a bolt on and not a molded on kit. -might have to pay body shop more to get it to fit correctly. -material is cheaper material, thinner, weaker, etc, may crack instead of flex, flex instead of being strong. buuut sometimes the replica is better than the original. I'd take my chances on the replica since its going to the body shop anyways. |

Go for the replica if your limited on funds, but I'm sure there is a high probability the kit will have fitment issues if it isn't legit.

I'm just saying that at the end of the day, if you don't go around claiming its genuine when its not, no big deal. Its like replica wheels. I don't care if you buy Rota Grids instead of Volk TE37's. Just don't slap TE37 stickers on your grids and claim they're legit.

On the listing it says:
Due to handcrafted product please accept minor adjustment with fitment. **NOTE: Fiber glass always needs to be prep before paint and that WILL include (Cutting&Trimming/Sanding/Smoothing/possible Light FRP work/Block Sanding/Primer/Body Filler) I'm assuming it's a really crap fiberglass replica that needs lots of sanding and fixing up to do. I bought a wing that was poorly "unfinished" and I think I would have saved more money buying the real deal cause it still looks funny in the end even with all the bondo and smoothing out that my shop did. There was a ton of fitment issues. I would not risk buying an unfinished fiberglass ever again. |
