@steve99
I tried copy pasting the values from the US stage 1 93 oct map you mentioned over in the E85 thread regarding my EU stage 1 map. (Just didn't want to clutter the E85 thread with non-E85 stuff )I made a log on a short drive this morning. The log was made around 10 km after flashing the new map, so might still have been learning. At least I still have the throttle dead spot. What do you think about these values? Couldn't do a full pull because some slow poke in front, but from around 3300 rpm to red line was pedal to the metal ![]() http://www.datazap.me/u/cawith/stage...2&zoom=320-511 |

its not rearly bad but probably best to go back to your original map unless your going to spend some time adjusting the map as per the knock correction links below. When your rearly on it and doing some hard driving over a period of time and things get hot that knock is likely to increase |

Some help requested from the more experienced tuning people please. Here's the log file to start:
http://datazap.me/u/sirsol66/12152014-log?log=0&data=1 Setup: OFH+OFT (V2.0X non beta, 91 octane map)+berk axle back+93 octane (winter blend- Mobil) Condition: Cold start at work (30 second of idle before logging started), driving out of area (several speed bumps hence the up and down for vehicle speed/RPMS/throttle) Issue: Vehicle has some hesitation that you can feel at cold start around ~2750rpm at low throttle, almost like a slight stubmle. It does this 2-3 times and then doesn't do it again. I was mainly logging to see if there was some knock or other issue; I do not see any knock but I am not too familiar with what normal cam operation looks like. Can someone with good experience tell me if the cam operations before ~130 second time period looks ok? There were a couple scenarios where I was trying to hit this RPM zone of concern. Also, near the end of the log, I did a pull to 6000rpm and encountered some knock. I will do some full pulls soon and log, but any initial feedback? Thanks! |

First log.
OTS v2 Stage 1 91 with 93oct. AT, k/n drop-in, otherwise stock.
I'm new to the logging and feel lucky my car hadn't messed up when I used the v1 tunes w/o knowing how to log. Any and all help with knowing if my car is safe as is would be great. I've been reading a lot on logging and knock and such so bare with me at the moment. The v2 tune felt great, I just want to know if it's safe per my log and how can I remove the loud idle if it is safe. Thanks for the time and Merry Christmas! http://datazap.me/u/sc10n1814/christ...?log=0&data=14 |

Log looks ok. little bit of FLKC knock in 2000-3000 area its only 0.7 max , pretty common, maybe try different brand of fuel but no dramas. Fuel trims a little high but no big dramas pretty comon at 7% without individual maf scaling. removing high rev cold start will require romraider to alter tune parameters. for starters just reduce the "Ignition timimg post start" from -15 to -4 that will get rid of a lot of the noise and maybe the "post Start idle to 1400 rpm , the maf adjustments will require you to mess around with definitions in romraider, leave that till your more familiar with romraider. see the "tune Tweeks" link below |

thanks!
Awesome to hear that they seem okayish. You're a godsend steve!
Here is a 2nd gear pull I just did to shorten the amount of data to sift through if you wouldn't mind giving that a look ..also, is there any other parameters I should log or that I'm logging that have no use to log, that way I can only see what I NEED to see for now at least. Thank you again! http://datazap.me/u/sc10n1814/2nd-ge...1-6-9-10-13-14 |

no knock although your LTFT is zero all the time (usually expect a few % variation) , not sure if thats a logging glitch. was that first log straight after a re-flash or fueling up with better quality fuel ?? Usefull things to log are LTFT STFT FLKC FBKC (Knock Correction) KC Learned Ignition Advance Throttle position AFR Commanded AFR Advance Multiplier IAM Engine speed RPM Engine load Intake Air Temp Coolant temp Oil Temp Maf Voltage Have a read of the logging thread link below |

The first was in fact right after the reflash. That last one was after about 25mi or so.
I've been reading and reading. Your links have been very helpful!! I think I'm starting to get the concept of this at least haha. |

@steve99 @Wayno
Happy Christmas mate! Could you please have a look at my log and give some feedback? Looks like i'm getting quite some knock happening, and i've also noticed that during gear changes on WOT runs I can hear lots of tip-in knock (it happens right after selecting the next gear and getting back onto WOT again). http://datazap.me/u/fizz/tmslog2?log=0&data=1-14 Note: this is on the Sprintex 210 kit with local custom tune. |

Did notice a couple of things your measured AFR is about 10% leaner than commanded afr but this may be a limitation of the stock 02 sensor scaling/reading ability is commanded is 11 and measured is 12.1 under load WOT . you are getting a fair bit of FLKC up to -1.7 mid range top end which would be a worry. Low rpm low/med loads your getting FBKC (knock correction( up to 1 to 1.5 degrees ) in the area these motors are knock prone 2000-3500. probably just needs a bit more timing pulled in that area. the tip in knock is always hard to eliminate but if it is actually running lean and its not 02 sensor limitation that not going to help IAM has dropped to 0.9 if its was a stinking hot day might be worth asking tuner guy to increase the retard due iat temp don't know ?? That knock is probably only going to get worse when things get real hot and your really on it for an extended period it so its something you want to get onto your tuner about. might also be worth trying different fuels ?? maybe bp ultimate if your not already on that. definitly talk to your tuner. |

Thanks @steve99 yea just wanted your opinion as you obviously know how to read these logs better than me lol. Tuner is closed till new year so can't get him to look at it for a week.
I'm running BP Ultimate, and yeah was about 35deg when I took the logs this arvo. |
