Did u bolt it up yet? You're comparing the headers the wrong way dude. The cylinder banks are offset from left to right. You're comparing the left side to the right and vice versa. If you sit both the headers the same way you'll see they line up perfect. Unless it got bent in shipping somehow but mine slipped right on. Could u take a pic of it fitted up?

Oh shit, you're right haha

Still though, it's close but not correct. The manifold can get started on one side, but it's off by about 1/2" of fitting on the studs for the other head.

Heat cycled one piece manifold. Common. You should be able to wiggle it around back and forth side to side and it should unexpectedly slide on.

Like Reaper said. Its just been heat cycled. This is normal. Happens on EJ's too. A rubber mallet might be your best friend.

Had a weird not quite warmed up AFR swing that got so rich under part throttle it caused a missfire. Then went to 16+ at idle then settled back down to normal. All very quickly then performed normally. It's done it three times now a week or two apart. I cleaned the maf and checked all the wiring. I can't catch it on a log since it's so intermittent. Almost always 1-4 miles into a drive from cold start. Water in the fuel? Faulty maf? Anyone got any ideas?

Called FBM and talked to Justin. He was initially very eager to help me fix this issue since he agreed that the manifold should fit, regardless of being heat cycled, but once he found out that I was not the original owner he started to balk.

I assured him that LJ had made a statement, saying something to the effect of "Whether you're the first owner or the tenth, if it has our name on it we'll take care of you."

After finding that quote, I shipped the header back to FullBlown.

So after a few months of inactivity and general indecisiveness about what car I actually want, I may end up with a FRS finally if a deal I received is legitimate.

In light of realizing how much damn time my job takes from me + I dont have a garage to store the car in as I work on it, I'll probably end up getting a FBM kit installed professionally... Anyone have ballpark figures of how much a Stage 2 costs with installation?

I wouldn't be getting it for a few months, so I dont want to waste the time of shops by asking for quotes. I just need some general idea of cost so I can plan my budget. 8k, 9k, etc?

Sorry if its been asked before, searching through the thread hasnt given me any answers to this.

EDIT: Another question, has anyone installed a FBM kit with the Spec D headlights? The vendor FT86speedfactory mentioned in a youtube video comment that they dont fit with the Vortech Supercharger kits, so now I'm wondering if it'll have issues with the FBM kit.

Stage 2? Are you building an engine? if so you're looking at 20,000$ if not why are you going stage 2?

From what I understood when I first asked questions a few months ago, the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 is just the potential. I ultimately want a Stage 2 and figured I might as well go that route but run with lower (Stage 1 level) boost pressure until my engine is prepared.

The only way I'd consider Stage 1 is if I went for the non-premium kit which is 2k cheaper. The Stage 1 premium is only a few hundred from the Stage 2.

Yes, the difference is the turbo and intercooler. You go from a gt28 turbo to a gt35 and a 550hp intercooler to a 750hp intercooler. You can convert the stage 1 to a stage 2 easily but it will cost more because you will be buying the intercooler and turbo twice.

So really the only downside would be a slight bit of extra turbo lag due to the use of a bigger turbo, right?

Btw, do you guys keep a list of authorized/recommended shops that carry your kits? I live in the NYC area, zip 10002.

The lag is noticeably different from the stage 1 and stage 2 because of the gtx35 vs the gtx28. It all depends on what you do with the car. Our stage 1 is very popular for the street guys and stage 2 is street/drag.

Has anyone installed the Drift Armor Drift bar with the FBM kit ? I have had mine installed for awhile and now starting to install my FBM kit and was just test fitting the piping from inner cooler up pasted the washer and seems like i will need to cut some off the bar or remove the entire window washer bottle.
