Keep in mind the "nicer" the car the higher the probability of the driver being a major douche. To these guys our cars are cheap junk.

Ive gone to a casino with my car and went to the highest level in the parking structure with no cars. When I came back there was a red z parked next to me.

I know not everyone lives in San Diego but there is a spot I like to go to and is familiar to a lot of San Diegans for their JDM book needs, and food. The parking lot blows but there are two spots in the back I go to first before attempting the main lot.

From being a former Z (Z31 and Z32) owner, I'd bet the owner parked by you because s/he had the same idea as you: to get away from the non-enthusiasts. More so a Z32 owner, but very clean Z31 owners generally have the same thought process since they are very rarely clean these days.

S30s and those kind of older Zs (70's) are hit or miss in my experience. They are usually enthusiasts, but sometimes they aren't.

The dings I've gotten from parking in normal spots were all caused by douches who didn't care enough to be careful. In the case of careless kids, it's caused by douche parents who don't care enough to take precautions to keep their kids from causing damage, either by teaching their kids not to be douches or by parking somewhere far enough away to minimize the damage their douche kids can do.

There are not many situations where someone can ding my car, and I wouldn't be able to use logic and reason to conclude that the person is a douche who doesn't care.

If anyone ever gives you crap about it, all you have to do is tell them you have a respiratory or circulatory issue that requires you to minimize the distance you walk, lest you overtax your heart and drop dead.

LOL, you're nuts. If you put shopping carts in the space next to you, all the other assholes will treat it as the shopping cart corral. They'll put more carts there, and they'll play bumper-carts with the ones already in that space so that they get banged into your car.

My wife needs these spaces and there is nothing more frustrating then watching some jerkwad that obviously has no problems come dashing out of a place jump in his 3 foot raised truck and drive away!
