That's awesome, but not everyone is that fortunate. Not saying that you got those things out of luck, because I realize that you worked hard, but you picked a field that you obviously enjoy, and luckily it's a field that seems to pay pretty well while having jobs available.

But it depends on what you call a "real field," as I'm sure that there are intelligent, hard-working people that just happen enjoy a different field that may not provide a $100k annual salary right out of college, assuming there are jobs available.

You have it too easy With 0% state income tax and median home prices bellow 250K, no wonder that a 25K purchase is not a burden: http://www.zillow.com/local-info/TX-...value/r_38128/

Come to Northern California, and you'll quickly learn that with 250K annual income (before taxes) and a family you can't afford a decent 4BR home. Just this morning I was looking at $1.3M 3BR 40 year old crapper, which is above $1.1M median. So, go figure.

Whatever the case, cause, or who and when, people of all walks of life need to buy this car for it to have a long and successful life. I've seen this happen with AE86, and throughout the years into well used pre owned ownerships, demographics change, and the reason there are still many of them around is because at each stage and every era, the basic design of the car stood the test of time, and there were cult following around them.

So lets not be so picky-choosy about who drives them now, as well all need lots of them made and bought so there will be plenty of them for generations to come.
With threads like this, sometimes I wonder if people just want to be first and bragging about it, and want to prevent others in different life cycles and circles to not own one.

I got mine last week, and I really hope that EVERYONE here and ladies, grand moms, race car drivers, Sunday show car builders, teens, and terrorists (figuritively) and my neighbors and anyone who comes across this car, to fall in love and buy one.

See that red car in the back? It's also a nice car but it was never met with buyers and now they are REALLY hard to find... MR2 with SMT. Given it wasn't the best of transmissions by today's standards, I wished it was met with more interest. This car has everything going for it. Lets just go buy one, drive it and enjoy it!

I would move out of the hell state California if I was you. I'm not saying it isn't one of the prettiest places on earth; but it sure as hell is one of the dumbest.

Also i did a quick search on median housing pricing: (this is a random sample of March 2012 housing prices in CA)
County/City/Area - # Sold -$ March 2012 -$ March 2011 -% Change Yr-to-Yr

Alameda County 1,499 $320,000 $347,000 -7.78%
Butte County 175 $160,000 $175,000 -8.57%
Contra Costa County 1,519 $256,500 $248,000 3.43%
Fresno County 889 $142,000 $148,500 -4.38%
Humboldt County 86 $186,000 $238,250 -21.93%
Imperial County 138 $130,000 $130,000 0.00%
Kern County 990 $124,000 $115,000 7.83%
Los Angeles County 6,955 $310,000 $320,000 -3.13%
Marin County 269 $565,000 $684,250 -17.43%
Monterey County 331 $290,000 $235,000 23.40%
Napa County 127 $328,000 $308,000 6.49%
Nevada County 195 $257,500 $238,500 7.97%
Orange County 2,856 $400,000 $430,000 -6.98%
Sacramento County 2,121 $156,000 $156,500 -0.32%
San Diego County 3,255 $321,000 $325,000 -1.23%
San Francisco County 542 $660,000 $650,000 1.54%
Yuba County 107 $140,000 $146,000 -4.11%

While i am only a 24 yo guy i have usually made good decisions and dont risk others safety. No tickets since i got my license.

I am afraid many of my demographic are not like that.

Oh well, as long as it doesnt get too popular with the drifto, hecka-skids, and hella flush kids/man children we should be fine. At least with only 200hp it turns off a lot of the stop light drag queens.

When I was at one of the FR-S unveilings last night, I did hear quite a few kids at the dealership talking about drifting it and how they would "have to install a turbo" if they got an FR-S.
