Ya his buddies seemed to just ignore most of what he was saying. I was intrigued though as he explained how the special, ultra high boast, titanium, low profile, turbo fit under the cover that plainly says Toyota/Subaru on it!

Oh wait I see what you did there! FR-STY the regular font is fine!!! Some jokes get passed back and forth but then the same happens with different colours of the same brand! Suppose there may be the rare person that really thinks there is a difference but most (on here) know they are really the same thing with some very minor changes.

My 2 cents...
Subaru BRZ owners thinks all Toyota added to the car was the D-4 direct injection system oh wait a minute how did the boxer engine get the 86's > Bore and Stroke86.00mm x 86.00mm..?? ![]() That is all carry on.

According to a Scion salesman, they put all the good engines in the FRS and the bad engines in the BRZ.

Let's be honest, we all are driving Subaru's products. Literally produced in their facility. I only chose to go with the Toyota brand for convenience.

As Albert pulled out of the lot, I mentioned that we were also considering the Subaru BRZ. "Those ones," he reassured me, "get the weak engines. They basically make the bad ones the BRZ. And you know why? That's because Toyota is more powerful than Subaru." I briefly envisioned two robots battling in Tokyo for the right to badge the more powerful GT86es as they rolled off the end of the line and onto the dynos

I had someone insisting that teh BRZ came stock with a turbo.
It didnt dissuade him when I told him I own one, I think I would know if it had a turbo... And a lady at work saw my BRZ and wanted to buy one. She bought a Lexus instead becasue the Dealer told her that the BRZ did not come in an Auto. |

At a car show I heard to young guys talking and the one pointed and said I want the FRS and his buddy said but the BRZ is faster. My buddy went to go buy a Forester XT and he saw the BRZ on the showroom floor and mentioned he knew someone with the BRZ and loved it. the salesman said oh your buddy is smart. when they do quality control of the cars the ones with higher ratings are the one that become BRZ.
