Outrageous beliefs about differences between the twins

Who's heard outrageous statements concerning differences between the twins?

All this from one guy. The BRZ engine placement is 4 inches back form where it is on the FR-S thus the reason there is a handling difference. The BRZ costs $4000 more than the FR-S.

The most outrageous thing that has happened to me was when a pleb asked if that was one of those new "FRZ" type sportscars. DOES HE NOT KNOW ABOUT THE FRONT BUMPER DIFFERENCE???

... okay for real no incidents to report yet on someone trying to quote differences between the two

Guy's who drive BRZ's are better at everything than guys who drive an FR-S.

Thats what I heard anyway :P

Proven fact. Wholeheatily agree. Proof is in how much higher insurance rates are for the FRS compared to the BRZ.

I have talked to at least 100 people about mine so far. To date I have talked to 4 that knew what an FRS even was and 1 that even knew BRZs existed.
Oh, and the one guy looking my car over at a meet that told his buddies all about how good these new "Porsche Scorpions" are! Apparently "Scion" is now German for scorpion.

Oh he was full of "facts" on it! Over 500 horse, $250K, tires are $1800 each, and so on. He stood there spewing this crap to his buddies for 10 minutes. All the while the hood is open and Toyota/Subaru is there right in his face.
I was getting such a chuckle I didn't have the heart to correct him. Probably made his summer!

Sadly the "Information Age" has become more of the "Misinformation Age."

Happens all the time on this forum too. All the time I see people answering questions with hearsay, opinions, or flat out incorrect statements and stating them as fact. When someone does a search on that question, that wrong answer will still come up with that thread. If the person searching doesn't bother to look for multiple answers to that question (which we know many do not considering all of the posts asking the same questions), they can spread that bad information further.

Not trying to start a manual/automatic debate, but this article from awhile ago kind of makes fun of the FR-S vs. BRZ differences. It kind of mocks the claims about one vs the other, should give you a nice little chuckle.

(DISCLAIMER: Again, not trying to spark any debate about manual vs. automatic!!! lol)

Maybe he's like this guy I use to know that loved to just make up bs. You would say you needed to find so and so place he would tell you he's been there a million times and draw you a map, only probably is he pulled it all out his ass. I must say it was quite amusing hanging out in public with him. I remember someone asking him what he did for a living and him going into detail about his stunt man career (he must have weighed 400lbs at the time).
