Yep and it will always happen no matter what cars.
I personally don't see the need but oh well I don't have to look at them everyday.

I love my car. It hurt seeing that.
I don't know you, but I would think this has something to do with the driver and not the car. I park wherever I want and I've never been keyed. I think the vast majority of people here have never been keyed.

Really? Random parking lot? Christmas shopping? Judge much?

I dont know if I have mentioned this before but I think the thing I absolutely hate most about this car is the drive by wire gas pedal. I dont know who in their right mind decided that a fake gas pedal with no feeling is the new IN thing.. My right foot feels so disconnected from the car that some times i floor it and let off just to see what the inconsistent piece of crap will do next..

/rant

sorry..

I've never been keyed but worthless a holes think because you park your car far from others it deserves to be screwed with when that is exactly what you are trying to avoid. I always expect the worst coming back to my car because I know there a lot of a hole out there.
I have been dinged once already and I always park far from other cars. I park in the spots that would only be filled on black Friday at 11:59 yet I still got a ding. I doubt its the driver...how can it be at a shopping center?

I got a nice quarter sized dent right smack in the middle of my passenger door within the first month. It's staying there out of principle, goddamnit.

I hate them too, but it's not the "in" thing, it's required to support things like traction control. The computer must insinuate itself into throttle control to effect systems like that. I would like it if manufacturers offered true driver's models without nannytech, but it's just not how things work anymore. I'm willing to meet them halfway if they give me an off button.

I'm the most laid back you'd ever meet. I don't show off, or drive like a mad man in my car. It may have been bumped by accident. Maybe not. They look like key marks. I know I've almost nicked other cars pulling my keys out of my pocket. Damn key chains.

Yea, just don't do anything harsh to the paint whatever you do... Harsh like, stroke it, wash it, look at it, leave it out in the wind.

I too was disgusted with the paint but, for what it is worth, it seems to have hardened/toughened with age and at about one year I think it is acceptable.
