I'm assuming the OP is trying to get us to compete on who has best clutch control for moving off.

It's something I have a little OCD about too! But it gets boring fast once you can move off fairly promptly without the rev counter moving from idle. Doing it on a hill is some what more tricky and stalling is just too damned embarrassing.

Sometimes I just can't be arsed, pop it up to 2k and go. So much easier, but so less cool.

Nope, he literally wanted to see where our tachs dropped to for idle!

Reading back on previous posts by the OP reminds me of that M&M commercial where they meet santa and say " He does exists, they do exists" lol idiots like these... no disrespect to anyone, to each its own but i dont know what else to call it. This is beyond weird. He actually posted he takes 20 mins to park and then writes down the tag numbers of the cars parked around??

You've got a real knack for finding these really good threads!
Or you spend way too much time in here...
Anyway, have you considered creating a meta-thread, a sort of directory of the derailed & funny?

Way, way, way too much time!
I wouldn't do a directory because then it would create structure and our comedic ramblings could become a focused assault which would then just be mean and not fun. Though I am sure many of the recipients of our dubious "wit" may wonder exactly what is fun about it plenty of others do enjoy!
It may not be obvious to anybody that doesn't follow some of us but there are some unwritten rules too our behavour. You may even be able to spot the pattern if you look close enough!

I'm confused...
Are you trying to tell me I'm unwittingly breaking a bunch of secret rules because I'm too stupid to spot a pattern?
Or have I somehow managed to insert myself into this quasi-fraternal "us"?
