I'm trying to do my research on this stuff. I'm really behind on this sort of stuff. My cars usually have a phalanx of individual guages running across the dashboard, but this multidisplay is the way to go in the new car, very cool.

The one I bought is the size of a credit card, they also give a USB adapter style one. If you are talking to me...

The one the OP was using on page one of the thread. Looks like if need be I could get a smaller one or even an extension harness to tuck the dongle up behind the dash altogether.

I got one similar to this one. Works pretty well.

Very weird... I have the exact same one (amazon says I ordered this a while back) but Torque says cannot connect to ECU

Works on my phone though.. YMMV I guess?

The actual specific one I ordered was this one, but the pic's gone and it seems to not be available any more (that, or the database is broken), but it looks the same as the other one I linked. It's worked fine on two phones, as well as the Dashlinkq4.

Onto a different topic..

Was able to get v6 supercharger installed (easy), but only 50% due to not being able to mod services.jar.. not sure how much the script helps with memory management at the moment..
The script didn't help with Poweramp closing when I open Waze. Found that poweramp only runs with oom priority of 2 while waze runs with -12. I haven't found any ways to permanently lower Poweramp's OOM priority..

That's weird, I've NEVER had an issue with Poweramp closing, and I use Waze constantly, always on in the foreground, music in the background (usually Poweramp or Pandora). Pandora, on the other hand, force closes often, so you're saying that you can't change the RAM priority of applications the way you have supercharger installed currently? What's preventing you from modding the services.jar?

Patching requires you to have the device connected in debugging mode to your computer.

I used Auto Memory Manager to look the the OOM values. While you can increase the app manually (only temporarily), I'd have to do it 14 times (from 2 -> -12) to match the value Waze is at. I didn't bother testing that...

Has anyone tried a USB hub/splitter with these units? Does it work?

So i've tried running the torque app on this headunit and I just cant seem to get it to work. I am using the official cafi obd2 interface, anyone have a solution to this?

What I have also noticed is that sometimes when i've plugged in the obd my gearbox gets jammed! I know its caused by the obd because when i unplug it, it fixes the problem. Not sure if I want to be driving around with this thing plugged in.

OK, so I used Auto Memory Manager to increase Pandora's priority from 2 to 0, could go higher too, into the negatives like Waze and other system apps, but Pandora seems stable and doesn't force close at 0 for me.

Now the only thing is, it has to be reset when the unit restarts, anyone know of an app or tasker plugin that can set the OOM priority with every boot?
